I drive over an hour just to eat here!!!
Forget fast food when we got an Eddie's in town. Very delicious food ranging from hot dogs to sloppy joe sandwiches, fries to onion rings, all for a very good price. The man who runs it is very good with keeping it semi-fast food and welcoming you in. A 100% stop by when visiting the Downtown Mall.
Decided to go to the Eddie’s at the downtown mall since we were already there. Only one guy working during lunch, and he was not in anything resembling a hurry. In addition to serving food he used his bare hands to handle cash, empty the garbage, and used the palm of his bare hand to roll hotdogs on the griddle. Sauce was sour and toppings were sparse. Won’t stop here again.

Man working the counter has horrible customer service. Very unfriendly and gives the impression he doesn't want to be bothered with customers.

Located inside a dead Mall and the zesty guy with the clear glasses behind the counter acted like a diva

They use Smith's Hot Dogs, so the best. That said, the kraut was okay. I was not impressed with the sauce many rave about. It is kind of like a marinara and really didn't have much flavor.
As some reviewers have mentioned, there's just the one guy and so ordering can take a while. It wasn't bad for me on a Monday for lunch.
Prices were pretty reasonable.
Would definitely order another hot dog from Eddie's. I'd just go with different toppings.

onion rings best ever. hands down. I ordered 2 dogs with mustard and onions only. drove home I got sauerkraut and something else. just moved up here and basically across the street from them . hands down best onion rings but I face family dog the hotdogs. hate not getting what I paid for.
besides the fact that my hot dog literally fell apart and then only excepting “cash only” . it wasn’t too bad..

Work construction and was in town to do a job seen Eddie's and figured can't mess up a hot dog but boy was I wrong worst chili dog ever.....hotdog was rubbery and no taste chili tasted like ketchup with little seasoning cheese was watery also and service was so slow will definitely not be going back
The food is always delicious, but they only have one gentleman working the whole thing by himself, so service is slow at best. He certainly moves as fast as one can while waiting on a fryer, but the lunch rush is unforgiving.

Excellent hotdogs! I visit every time I’m in Meadville, PA. K. Smith. Wharton, Tx
They've changed their price structure a bit since I was last there. Now you pay extra for their Joe sauce. The person making the hotdog did a pretty good job assembling it but they aren't the same as they used to be - something had changed but I can't put my finger on it. A hotdog used to fill me up but now I'd need two to do that … and I've lost 20 lbs. But it's still good food.
Parking: Parking is in the Downtown Mall parking lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: The Downtown Mall has a wheelchair accessible entrance on the parking lot side.
