Brought my significant other for the first time and the first thing he said was, ‘are they even open?!’ 😂 We went on a Friday evening and were the only customers for most of the stay. Service was good, and food was nummy. Overall, good visit.

Honestly, it was pretty awful. I walked in at 10:40am & was promptly told we’d have to wait 5-10 minutes just to be seated ‘because all these people just sat down at the same time and our kitchen will be too overwhelmed if we don’t stagger’… so ALL these open tables and instead of seating me in a booth, getting my drinks & menu and telling me that THEN but instead you had me sit in the lobby.. ? They had 1 waitress working & 1 other employee on the floor. I get it’s a Monday but aren’t they pretty popular for breakfast? You’d think they’d be more prepared. It only got worse from there, 15 people walked in after me and were told the same except the time was longer for their wait 15-20 minutes and no one there to even take their name and tell them because they had no staff around plus there was only a small bench for people to wait on so more than half had to stand. It was ridiculous. I ordered a salad with chicken, figuring it wouldn’t take too long … I was mistaken and it was completely overcooked and promptly asked for a to go container and check… I try to be understanding and not complain, I worked in restaurants and know it can get busy fast and be overwhelming but this was clearly a situation of unprepared in general.

Been away from Dennys as a whole for like 20 years...they got bad overall. Been back now 3x in 2 months to same mechanicsburg pa store with this to say... Overall? 4.7 Food?4.8+ Service 3.9(see below) Atmosphere4.3 (see below)
Service is catch 22...low employee count due to low volume due to ppl still thinking Dennys is bad food. So 1 person to host, drinks,take n deliver order,bus tables, take online orders, and even clean a big dining room spill. Cuz they only ones on shift except cook n dishwasher. Not sure if this same server was ALSO a mgr..but its TOO MUCH if 4 or 5 tables roll in at dinertime ect. These servers NAILED IT but...it was still slow to get drinks n get order taken....they are set up to fail..but I STILL RECOMEMD TRYING THIS STORE ON THE CARLISLE PIKE with a lil patience n understanding. I feel if they get steadily busier...they'll get more pll ect n all will become perfect in time

We stopped here for some late breakfast on our road trip, and this was hands down the best Denny's we've had. We had to get it to-go so I don't know the inside was, but the food itself was great and the to-go person was very nice. It did take quite a while to get the food though

Sat down. Waitress came took drink order, served promptly. After that, it all went down hill. Came back 10-15 minutes later and took order. Waited and waited for food. Nothing from the server or anyone else why it was taking so long. Finally after about 30 minutes, the food came out. The bacon was barely cooked, the eggs were cold (barely warm) the potatos had all the moisture cooked out of them, and they were burnt, and the biscuit was a cold hockey puck. No syrup for the pancakes. Waitress never came back to table to check on the food someone else brought to the table. Decided wasn't eating or paying for cold, underdone and some burnt food. Talked to the manager. I offered to pay for the coffee, but he said nothing, offered no apologies or explanations or even excuses. His response... OK, you can leave. Would never have expected this from a Dennys. Unacceptable. The owners should look into what exactly went wrong. I understand understaffed. But that's no excuse the attitude, much less cold, underdone and burnt food, all on the same plate. I was never loud or rude. I will not be back.
The only good thing to come from this visit was it was past 11:15/11:20 by the time this all concluded, and El Rodeo down the street was open and it was lunchtime. Should have waited the hour and 10 minutes and went there in the first place.

Me and my husband went here Saturday morning for breakfast and this place is not the same like it was! Service sucked! Didn’t get any napkins or ask if we needed anything or was ok, cups was dirty as hell and so was the silverware! And the food was burnt u couldn’t even enjoy the damn breakfast! We barely ate! We paid for our stuff and left! Left still hungry and unsatisfied! This place is terrible! The cooks are too!
