“After a day of traveling, we were happy to find Black and Bleu. It was early on Friday night and the parking lot was packed, a good sign. The crab ravioli was delicious. The ravioli was made with crab, topped with a lovely cream sauce, spinach and more crab, all of which seemed high quality. It was delicious and a great value at $18. Back home, it would have at least been a $30 dish! The service was quick and friendly. We’d definitely recommend!”
“Came here after getting shafted at mikado and im pretty sure we made the right decision. As soon as we walked in we were seated and drink order taken, the server was extremely friendly and he was wearing a cat (heavy equipment) shirt. He took our sushi order which was fairly large and our sushi came out fairly quickly and it was delicious. Do yourself a favor and skip the b.s. at mikado, grab yourself some beer or wine and head to sapporo east! It’s b.y.o.b”

We got the calamari and fried buratta (which was a special). My entree was the meatloaf which wasn't as great as I had hoped, but also not bad. I want to go back and try a pasta dish next time and also dessert (they all sounded fantastic). Reservations recommended and BYOB!”

But best of all, the food is absolutely amazing. I can honestly say everything, from the beverage to the borscht, the entrée and the desert, were the most delicious I've ever had. They say you can taste the difference when the chef has a passion for their craft, and in this place it is 100% true!”

Anything I've ordered here has been wonderful including the pork souvlaki with Greek seasoned fries I had last night. Ambiance was fine, except the waterfall window was a little distracting and made me kind of dizzy if I focused on that. Wonderful place to eat for any occasion.”

“We went for the first time at lunch on a Saturday. Parking is a problem because they are so busy, but businesses across the street are closed on the weekend, so there are spaces there. Once inside, the decor is cute with the garage theme and the seating is in comfortable booths. Service was perfect, fast and friendly (the owner stopped by to check if things were OK.) The Louisiana burger was huge and delicious, if a little heavy on the blue cheese for me. The Buffalo chicken wrap was also good. The only drawback was that the fries were limp instead of crispy, unlike the onion rings which were fantastic! We will definitely go again. And The Bewitching Moon shop next door was interesting, with cool candles (we bought four!)Kid-friendliness: Kid's menu available.”

“Just stopped in to pick up my pre-order of Peanut Butter Easter Egg ice cream. We had to try the Guinness Chocolate and ….yum! So we took a pint home with us. Always greeted with a smile and welcome on entering! Customer service is great.Parking: The plaza has plenty of parking.”

“This absolutely is one of my favorite restaurants in the Mechanicsburg Harrisburg area. The Italian is authentic and excellent the pasta hand made and reasonably priced! In the many times I've eaten here I've never come across something I haven't liked. The owners are available, very welcoming and friendly. I can promise you I have not been treated as well by any other restaurant owner or staff and as a foodie I've been to a LOT of different restaurants. Very highly recommend if you are looking for pizza or authentic Italian!”

I’m from Baltimore originally and would stack Grappling Crab with any crab location in Maryland.As expensive as crabs are these days you want to get your money’s worth. We certainly did. “Lahori is the new semi-weekly rotation we have added to our list of restaurants in the area! All of the food we had ordered was delicious: kababs, gyros, paneer, dal, kheer (rice pudding). Naan is the best in the area, very fresh. It is pretty small and no frills in terms of atmosphere. You can eat in or take out. The lunch buffet Friday-Sunday 12pm-5pm is a great deal for $15 a person. Service is friendly. You order at the counter and they bring you your food.”
“Seated quickly on a Saturday night. A bit surprising as the parking lot was full. The first booth offered to us had very little room, so we were moved to a round booth in corner. Very nice. More quiet.The server was quick to the table and with drinks. She took our dinner orders without an issue. She had questions later and returned to ask for clarification.The food took a bit longer than expected, but not surprising because of the questions.”

“I will start this review out saying that I had been looking forward to visiting this place for weeks! That said my expectations were pretty high. I love their root beer and every time I come to PA I grab multiple six packs to take home. That said the experience of the restaurant was kind of lackluster. The food was pretty good, thank God they had a vegetarian option to switch out Patty's on the burger, that was a huge plus. However we arrived with a six year old and no children's menus were ever supplied, we had to ask if they had anything for kids, which we found out they do have kids menus, which made my kid happy, however we didn't see the menu itself just ordered the chicken strips off of it. The server was nice and helpful but not very attentive. I had asked if I could buy the glasses that our drinks were in, a good cheap souvenir for 3.50 a pop! I was pleased at that. At the end of our visit I had paid our bill with the QR code and apparently the site didn't charge me the correct amount so I had to pay again. However my bank showed three transactions. They told me two had been voided and to wait a couple of days for it to be refunded. That ordeal is why I gave four stars, since it was kind of annoying if their tech is not up to par why offer it?All in all I will go back just bc I love the root beer. Hopefully their tech issues will be resolved next time.”

“5/5, HANDS DOWN ON THIS ESTABLISHMENT. A Central PA native I am not, and neither can the chef be with the way they are cranking out real deal grub under this roof. I had a chance to speak with the head chef, Tom, and I have to compliment him and his team to the fullest. There is some real culinary art being crafted at Wolf Brew Co., and it's not just the beer. I had the Beef Short Rib, and it came out perfectly cooked to fork tender. The cheese grits were plated around the protein with crispy glazed brussel sprouts cooked to perfection as garnish. This is the way food should be presented to a customer. You want them to eat with their eyes and build up an appetite before you take the first bite. The staffing there is super friendly, accommodating, and knows the menu by heart. The way the server described the content of the menu demonstrated that they have tried and tested the food. That's huge in selling a plate. Awesome performance, Wolf Brew Co. Team!!! You guys earned this rating. Total Flavortown!!”

Live entertainment: local small time artists, but very good.Cons: Very small place with limited seating, though this could easily be in the pro category depending on your taste. Very limited menu, only pizzas. I really want to give 5 stars because this is a truly special place.Recently found this place and instantly fell in love. “Stopped here for the first time today for a hot Latte and a Chocolate Chip Cookie. The cookie was phenomenal and the coffee was delicious. This organization helps children in need who are in the foster care system. They help with financial planning, development of daily skills, help these youth obtain a driver's license and much more.I was very happy to support this organization. The service was great. A minor hickup on our drink order that they immediately corrected and apologized for. The staff is very friendly.”

“What a lucky find! We stopped en route to Maryland and they could not have been nicer. The service was fantastic, and they were able to accommodate the disabled members of my family without question or hesitation, even opening a different section of the restaurant for us to all be able to sit at a table together. The food was brought out quickly, our drink refills were ready before we even asked, and I had the best diner burger I've had in years. I highly recommend this place!!”

“How do I fairly review a baker that is so obviously committed and passionate about the craft of baking??? And beyond that, a wonderful individual who is committed to sprinkling bits of floury joy to all of those she encounters??We make some awesome cinnamon rolls in our own household, but we happily lay down our rolling pin in order to feast upon the rich decadence that comes from Hattie's Bread Box. Our kids have openly stated that her cinnamon rolls are right up there with the best in the area. Harriet incorporates just the right ratios of everything: icing, cinnamon, sugar, and doughy goodness.And that sourdough!! You can't go wrong with her classic sourdough: great as a grilled cheese, wonderful as a bread pudding, even more amazing as an overnight french toast casserole. But what's even better is that Harriet is a creative genius and comes up with flavor combinations that take her sourdough to the next level. My absolute favorite so-far is the dark chocolate. I have yet to face a loaf of Harriet's bread that has not pleased the palate.She sources ingredients locally...supports mills that are just as passionate about their flours as Harriet is about baking. Harriet knows the craft, understands the science behind it, and gives lots of love to the community. She has earned our customer loyalty and then some.”

“Excellent service with a waiter that knew the right time to come over and ask if we'd like to order more. The food was great, I'd especially recommend getting the volcano roll and the dragon roll, two of my personal favorites. Personally, I went during lunchtime and I think their lunchtime menu is great (for $15.99), you get a more limited selection of rolls and dishes from the dinner menu. You still have plenty of options. The only thing I didn't like was the Philly roll. Everything else was great from speed, to food, to the atmosphere. Give it a try.”
“Kindest folks I've come across in a long time. Being by myself, I sat at the bar so not to take up table space. One of the cooks was having dinner and we had good conversation. He was proper and kind. The bar tendress was very kind and didn't skip a beat being as busy as they were. There was a young lady that was taking out the pickup orders and when I asked her a question she had no problem stopping to assist me. All had great spirits and made me feel so comfortable. The next time I go through the area I will stop in again for such great service. BTW, The steak was perfect.”

I wasn't sure what to order, and Max recommended me the #9 (delicious btw) and was super friendly during my whole experience. Dylan was delivering bags out to the cars and taking orders while Zoe took orders and kept everything running smoothly between the kitchen and the front counter. I even talked to a few regulars, who were sitting there a couple of old army vets, and they raved how this is the best place with the best people, and they were right! I will 100% be back! The fries are awesome, the mozzarella sticks were perfect, the cheesesteak was delicious, and the Italian hoagie with hot peppers was perfect. Truly a treasure in central PA! 10/10”

“I decided to treat myself to breakfast and coffee at Denim in Mechanicsburg this morning. I chose a cappuccino and a bacon breakfast sandwich. I don't usually indulge in a breakfast I don't have to cook and clean up after unless we're traveling and I found the service cheerful and relaxed, which is exactly what I needed today. The music was upbeat and not too loud, which was also exactly what I was looking for. Denim is cheerfully bright without hurting my eyes and the seating is cozy enough that I can relax. The small booth I sat in has very high sides, which muffled conversations from other booths. The sandwich was delicious. The bacon was crispy, cheese was melted & the ciabatta toasted; it comes with mayo. I don't typically choose mayonnaise on a breakfast sandwich, but it was nice. It may have been too dry without the mayo. The cappuccino was perfect for me; it was the right temperature and the coffee was smooth, not too much foam. When I'm done, I plan to get a cup of coffee and a bag of bean to take home.”

I’m completely over all of the National chain restaurants on the pike that are over crowded and not well managed. When you walk into Freshido Mechanicsburg it is quiet with pleasant music playing. They have other sushi items available as well, such as platters, in case you were interested in having their food for a party! I ordered the build my own poke bowl. I got seaweed salad, cucumber, mango, crunchy onion, and tobiko (teeny tiny red cavier [fish eggs]) with salmon as my chosen protein on a bed of sushi rice. YUM! YUM! YUM! The sauce they gave me was also delicious. A little spicy (for me), but used in small doses, I loved the flavor! Everything was so fresh. It was arranged beautifully in my takeout bowl. They gave me nice quality chopsticks with it. It is truly a take out type place; however, there is one table inside to sit. I can only assume the owners were the chefs. I could be wrong, but either way, doesn't matter as they were very friendly! They told me to give them 10 minutes, but there is no way they even took that long. I feel like it was half that. I'm definitely coming back as I scarfed down my bowl quickly as soon as I got home. Can't wait to try more stuff from them!”

“This absolutely is one of my favorite restaurants in the Mechanicsburg Harrisburg area. The Italian is authentic and excellent the pasta hand made and reasonably priced! In the many times I've eaten here I've never come across something I haven't liked. The owners are available, very welcoming and friendly. I can promise you I have not been treated as well by any other restaurant owner or staff and as a foodie I've been to a LOT of different restaurants. Very highly recommend if you are looking for pizza or authentic Italian!”

“We went for the first time at lunch on a Saturday. Parking is a problem because they are so busy, but businesses across the street are closed on the weekend, so there are spaces there. Once inside, the decor is cute with the garage theme and the seating is in comfortable booths. Service was perfect, fast and friendly (the owner stopped by to check if things were OK.) The Louisiana burger was huge and delicious, if a little heavy on the blue cheese for me. The Buffalo chicken wrap was also good. The only drawback was that the fries were limp instead of crispy, unlike the onion rings which were fantastic! We will definitely go again. I wasn't sure what to order, and Max recommended me the #9 (delicious btw) and was super friendly during my whole experience. “I will start this review out saying that I had been looking forward to visiting this place for weeks! That said my expectations were pretty high. I love their root beer and every time I come to PA I grab multiple six packs to take home. That said the experience of the restaurant was kind of lackluster. The food was pretty good, thank God they had a vegetarian option to switch out Patty's on the burger, that was a huge plus. However we arrived with a six year old and no children's menus were ever supplied, we had to ask if they had anything for kids, which we found out they do have kids menus, which made my kid happy, however we didn't see the menu itself just ordered the chicken strips off of it. The server was nice and helpful but not very attentive. I had asked if I could buy the glasses that our drinks were in, a good cheap souvenir for 3.50 a pop! I was pleased at that. At the end of our visit I had paid our bill with the QR code and apparently the site didn't charge me the correct amount so I had to pay again. However my bank showed three transactions. They told me two had been voided and to wait a couple of days for it to be refunded. That ordeal is why I gave four stars, since it was kind of annoying if their tech is not up to par why offer it?All in all I will go back just bc I love the root beer. Hopefully their tech issues will be resolved next time.”
