My friends and I went for breakfast. The food was delicious and came out in a reasonable amount of time.

Well. It is mix of Greek food.. and that would be fine the waitress speaks broken English, i could understand her better than my husband. That being said, you don't have to be snarky when some one asks you what an item is... and there is a dog in the restaurant. Which would be fine, if it was a really service animal, officially marked as one. But not just a vest. Based on customer reviews, New Silver Spring Diner is a large, quiet place with lots of seating and a huge menu. The food quality is inconsistent. Some meals are delicious, like the breakfast and the Lasagna, and the coleslaw is nice. However, other items are poor. The hot chocolate was NOT GOOD, and the prime rib ($21.95) was the worst ever eaten, full of grizzle and chewy. A roast beef sandwich had stale bread and tough grizzle on the meat. Service is also mixed. One waitress was awesome and pleasant, but another was rude, aggressive with cleaning, and laughed at customers. The kitchen staff sometimes does not pay attention, serving a side salad with a chunk of purple onion, 3 croutons, and 1 split cherry tomato. Prices are reasonable, and the quality can be stupendous, but based on some experiences, customers will rethink their options.
