Service is phenomenal - hence 5 stars. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Offered me some in house chilly that is extremely tasty. Sushi is maybe 3-4 on a scale of 5. Ordered some To go udon, it was mediocre, would recommend sushi only. Price is much more affordable for sushi compare Parking is in the back of the store

Not only did Kanagawa have great food, but they also had great service, and a peaceful atmosphere. It was incredibly affordable. The food takes a little longer, because it's rolled by hand in a small station in the middle of the restaurant. The only thing I'd mention is that it's REALLY quiet. There's music but it's turned down very very low.

Poor service overall. The staff was overly intrusive, and I was given used cutlery that had to be replaced. When I tried ordering more, the chef complained that service for certain items starts at 2 PM which is not mentioned on their menu, despite the restaurant being open and already serving sushi. On a positive note, the cozy ambience is worth experiencing once, but I won’t return. There are better Japanese restaurants in town.

Best sushi in Mechanicsburg! Mechanicsburg has been gifted with such a wonderful hidden Gem. Right in the heart of down town, this restaurant quickly became a locals favorite. The owner and sushi chef is a real deal. He is skilled and a master at his craft. Always top quality sushi and fresh ingredients every time. My favorite is their Tuna Sushi Bowl. The portions of each ingredient is the perfect amount to provide a delicious experience with every bite. The main hostess / waitress is wonderful and alway accommodating. She is true professional with a beautiful smile and a welcoming spirit.
I highly recommend coming for Lunch or Dinner and experiencing this cuisine for your self. The prices are very reasonable and the sushi will never disappoint.

I can’t recommend this place enough! The staff is awesome and very friendly, the fish is fresh and there’s a great variety of raw or cooked options, and the price can’t be beaten! The atmosphere and decor of the place is top notch. It’s by far the best restaurant I went to in town!

“My husband and I went to Kanagawa Sushi Place for lunch, and we were absolutely delighted by the experience! The waitress recommended a new sushi roll named goalie that they are planning to include in their menu, and it turned out to be incredible—so fresh and flavorful. It was clear a lot of thought went into perfecting it.
We also want to compliment our waitress for her friendly and professional service. She took the time to explain the new dish to us and made sure we were having a great time throughout the meal. Her enthusiasm and knowledge really added to our experience, and we left feeling truly satisfied. We’ll definitely be back!”
