Absolutely delicious food - great service! My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite and had all veggie sushi. It was all wonderful. While we were there, a special needs man walked in and proceeded to chat with the server. She was so kind and chatted with him patiently, answering every single question he had (which was a lot!). It was wonderful to witness. We will definitely stop in again!

Fantastic experience at Kanagawa! What a gem. We dined in on a Saturday night. Seating was limited, as the dining area is small (about 6 tables) so it can fill very quickly. Nicely and appropriately decorated, very clean and neat. The service was excellent: very polite, timely, helpful, and friendly. We ordered sushi rolls and chicken udon soup. The soup was excellent, great flavor. The sushi we ordered included Steve, spring, Hawaii, red snapper tempura, and sweet potato rolls, was incredibly fresh, very high quality fish and other ingredients. Some of the best sushi in the area, without a doubt. Prices reasonable and comparable to the area, if not slightly lower then some others. Would love to dine here again, highly recommend!

We eat here about one a week. This has been a fantastic addition to Mechanicsburg. The foods is fresh and excellent. Very relaxed. We like it even more because it is not loud and we can actually talk with me another!

My son told me I had to try this place and it was great advice. Small little place, but the service was great, and the food was very good. The sushi menu is huge, and I settled on the Fuji Roll. It came out hot and fresh and was unexpectedly delicious. Also had the teriyaki beef with fried rice. It was filling and the beef was very tender. Not at all like any of the buffet style restaurants offer. As it's about 5 minutes from work, I'm sure I'll be here again.

I recently went to Kanagawa for the first time with a group of friends. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the ANTI-CCP information desk set up in the entry way. At first I thought it was just an interesting choice, not too strange. But even on the menus, they continued with more ANTI-CCP notes and website links. Again, interesting choice. The service was fine, and the waitress was pleasant. However, the food was less than ideal. My fiance ordered a meal of chicken teriyaki and rice. The flavor of the rice was good, but the chicken was spongey. And then, we found an ugly, nasty long strand of black hair in it. Yuck. The green salad comes with a nice ginger sauce that's balanced by the avocado, but I wish there had been more in the salad for the price. Perhaps carrots. The miso soup was flavorful but little different from packets of soup you get at the grocery store. Even the addition of green onions would show a little more effort. I got the kanagawa roll, and it was a dry, 80/20% ratio for cream cheese to crab salad in the roll. Again, not what I wanted for the price. And the hair did NOT help our appetite. As we were leaving, we noticed a Buddhist swastika picture by the door. But I didn't realize it's significance until I got home and realized the take-out menu (which also included more ANTI-CCP content) boldy said, " Falun Gong". A quick Google search shows this is a radical chinese CULT focused on anti-feminist, anti-vax, homophobic (etc) ideals. After seeing the obvious attempt to gather support at the restaurant, I realized this was not a place I ever want to give my money to again.

An excellent, small, and authentic mom 'n pop sushi shop ... partially inside an old bank vault. Best sushi I've had in a long time, superb service. Nicely done!
