We love this restaurant for so many reasons! The servers and staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and they are willing to make accommodations here and there so you get exactly what you like. We have been here so many times for hot pot, sushi, hibachi and BBQ, there are so many options to chose from and they have a full bar too. There are different sections, but mostly we sit on the hot pot side and we get to see the hibachi shows, we sat there a few times as well. The chefs are so funny and put on an exciting show with delicious outcome. I love the sauce bar where you can mix your own from fresh ingredients. Pro tip, ask for the kimchi its really delicious here. Mikado is literally a staple restaurant for us and we keep coming back! There is ample parking in the back. Prices are reasonable for huge servings. Some times there is a wait for the hibachi side, but we always get prompt seating for the hot pot and BBQ. There are vegetarian and seafood options here. lots of meat as well.

I was starving for Hibachi, and the show of it, but I was solo. I have done hibachi alone before, but the greeter looked confused as to why I just wanted one seat at the table. 😂 He got permission from two groups to seat me in one of the two seats at the corner between them. Kinda odd since if I had a +1, I'm sure I woulda had the same seat. The food was really good. I had filet and scallops. Portions were ample. Chef entertainment was good. Not really keen on the single shaming. 😂 I've been in various businesses in my life, and turning away a sale isn't the smart move.

Took my visiting Chinese Nationals to Mikado for Hotpot. They said it was good and they ate their fill. So that's a good thing. We went on a Monday evening and we were the only ones there. Food was good. The atmosphere was great and we were able to have normal conversation because it was quiet. Food came in a few minutes.
The only downside, the sauce bar is the bare minimum.
