Silver Spring Diner

Grandparents took Family weekend before holidays. Table booth should have been wiped before seating us. The specials were mixed & spouse enjoyed Lasagna but worst prime rib ($21.95) I have ever eaten. Grizzle, Chewy, etc. I should have made note it was not a typical diner food. Bleu cheese dressing good but served side salad w/chunck of purple onion, 3 croutons, 1 split cherry tomato. It’s like kitchen staff not paying attention to what’s served. Our families meals were sandwich/fries and waffle for toddler. Hard to mess up. Plus, was waitress was pleasant & attentive. Bill for 5 was $80 + tip Based on experience , we will rethink our options

No cheese on wrap grits lumpy and cold and the home fries was instant mashed potatoes that they only grilled one side of them on the griddle we saw a waitress use a pair of scissors to stir a drink
Waitress only came over to take order and clear plates never to ask if we needed a refill or anything

My friends and I went for breakfast. The food was delicious and came out in a reasonable amount of time. Cathy, our waitress, was awesome. I can’t wait to go back!

Grabbed a couple of sandwiches to go as we were on a long interstate trip. I was really in the mood for a nice roast beef sandwich on rye bread.. I don’t think this bread is rye bread I don’t know what it is exactly but it is definitely stale and hard. Seems like it might have been in the refrigerator or freezer. It takes away from the overall taste of the sandwich. While the sandwich was freshly prepared with nice lettuce and tomato and delicious coleslaw, the roast beef itself left much to be desired. Both halves of the sandwich contained roast beef that had tough grizzle. I had to take all the meat out and pull it off of the grizzle. I’m not talking about fat on the meat. I’m talking about something like a rubber band.

EXCELLENT and friendly service! Food was very good and decent portions. Prices very reasonable. Will be back again someday.

Had to ask twice to get silverware. First was when drinks came including coffee. No way to mix in creme and sugar. Second time was after food arrived and sat there getting cold. Asked manager and/or maitre de for some. Waitress tossed them onto the table in one big pile, said nothing. Never checked back once during the meal to see if everything was OK or if we wanted anything.

Super food and great service. You ask, they deliver. Breakfast and lunch specials everyday and they are all very friendly.

This was a very pleasant experience. I ordered their fish and chips special and it was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive but not suffocating. Place was busy but atmosphere was relaxing. All in all, it was a great experience. I would recommend this diner very highly.

If you're going to promote a dish, it should be because it's good, not because you want to sell it off instead of throwing it away

The food is fantastic, the waitress SUCKED. She made it abundantly evident that she wanted to be anywhere except here. Portions sizes amazing, Greek dressing and seasoning on point.

We went during the day for a late breakfast. Everyone there was so nice. Great place to take the kids, and their prices are good too. The waitress even gave her kids some stuffed animals. It was very kind to her.

I have a good meal every time I come in here.

Went here for lunch. Had a meatlovers omelette. I was not disappointed it was actually good. I am sure I will eat here again. Would like to try other things
