Tapas like food. Lots of fish and veg options to go along with the meaty options. Indoor and outdoor seating is abundant and comfortable. Couple of TV's to watch a game but doesn't dominate the space. Good bar. Nice staff, always asking if we needed anything but not pushy. We've become regulars!
The bartender, rosemary, is a big part of why we come. She treats the customers great

My only suggestion would be to make the small plates with 4, not 3, items, esp for 2 ppl. Because who gets the 3rd?

Departure Restaurant & Lounge is a hidden gem of Media. It is a great spot for happy hour, a date night, or a girls night out. The place has a sleek, cool vibe with a great indoor/outdoor bar and plenty of dog friendly spaces. The staff are pleasant and friendly, and the bartender is great. The drinks are amazing, out of this world, and delicious. A killer happy hour runs from 4-6. Try the caramel macchiato martini or the spicy margarita. The food is good, varied, and served small plate style. Some reviews note small portions and that drinks can take forever. The atmosphere is nice with musicians playing and a large outdoor seating area with plenty of nearby parking. The restaurant is open late on weekdays.
