Went in last night for the first time with the new chef. Amazing! Menu us updated, and food is maybe even better. Same excellent service and welcoming environment. Glad one of our favorites is better than ever.

La Porta Ristorante is a hidden gem located just a short distance from Glenn Mills. The bar menu offers a variety of delicious options, including Tuscan fries, spicy wood-fired wings, spicy mussels, calamari, and flourless chocolate cake. The drinks are reasonably priced and generously poured, with a mature and attentive all-female bartending staff. The dinner menu is expected to be outstanding based on the bar food quality.
The atmosphere is welcoming, with friendly staff and a cozy dining area. The calamari starter with cherry peppers, zucchini, and arugula was expertly prepared, and the specials, such as pasta and red snapper fish, were outstanding. The salted caramel gelato was a perfect ending to the meal.
The food is always super fresh and tasty, especially the wood-fired pizza and pasta. The menu has been updated, and the food is even better under the new chef. The service is excellent, and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. Customers highly recommend trying the spaghetti and meatballs, the fried olives, and the ribeye steak with Brussels sprouts and mushroom cream sauce.
