Highly recommend Maris Greek Restaurant in Media. Everything about it was amazing. Our waiter Brendan was great and was very attuned to the allergies I have, even going to the chef prior to my ordering anything. Not only did he make sure I wasn’t allergic to what I was going to order, but my husband’s as well if I wanted to taste his.

Maris is a fantastic casual Greek restaurant with flavorful, delicious food and a really welcoming atmosphere. Guests have enjoyed dinner, Sunday Brunch, and drinks from the eventful bar, including Knob Creek 9 and a Greek Lover cocktail. The food has been described as very good, phenomenal, excellent, and fabulous. Specific meals mentioned include the Maris chips with the Tzatziki, Maris zucchini chips with tzatziki, calamari, baklava, tuna with a cucumber, tomato sauce, Wahoo fish special, grilled octopus, grilled lamb chops, grilled swordfish skewers, and horta. The grilled lamb chops were tender, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. The grilled swordfish skewers and horta were fresh and delicious. Drinks included a Taron Tempranillo, which went really well with the meal. Service experiences have varied, with one waiter thought to be a little more attentive, while others exceeded expectations with over the top service and were great, friendly, and attentive, even checking with the chef about allergies. Maris is a great spot for delicious Greek food, good drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere, and guests will definitely be back.
