I have gone to El Sombrero several times and was away from town. Returned to much lower quality food. The food was very fresh before. Now it seems like the food sits prepared in the fridge before reheating. I hope they return to the methods that led me to spot this out of the way place when it opened.

Delicious meal at El Sombrero Guacamole was a bit skimpy but Enchiladas, tacos, beans and rice were yummy. Restaurant and restrooms were very clean.

I visited for lunch on May 17 with a friend. It was my first visit but it will definitely not be my last. The menu had everything I could imagine in Mexican food. The decor was beautiful and the place was clean. I had my favorite - enchiladas with rice and they were wonderful. The food was so authentic, not like a fast food version of Mexican food. We were also given chips and sauce. Prices were reasonable and service was very pleasant and friendly. These are great people running a quality Mexican restaurant. I can be very picky and I would give them a 10!

Very nicely decorated. Wood floors were lovely. Brick and stone walls gave the feeling of being outside in Mexico. Very open and spacious dining room. Tables arranged in center with booths around the edges. Food was like it was homemade in Mexico very tasty enchilada sauce. I asked for hot sauce, waitress offered bottled or kitchen. I wanted the kitchen sauce. It was extremely tasty not too hot and spicy. I was surprised when I saw I was charged extra for that sauce! (One small tomatillo. $1.25.). There was no decaf or hot tea.

I've been to this restaurant many times and its always been great -- my favorite restaurant in Greencastle. The Pollo Loco is so good that its hard for me to try other things on the menu. Lots of fresh vegetables and always cooked and seasoned to perfection! The other dishes I've tried have been very good as well. Staff has always been friendly and efficient and I felt comfortable with their COVID precautions; chips and salsa are great.

Surprised we had never been there before. Off the main roads in Greencastle and a nice surprise. Spacious, well decorated restaurant with very good food. Reasonably priced. Definitely felt family owned and operated and well managed. Quick service.

I did not know this place existed. We stopped by today for lunch and it was very good. The staff is top notch and very friendly and professional. Large menu with lots of options. Can't wait to go back.

Back after a 4 year absence. Chile relleno was cold, along with the taco. The chicken soup was hot and someone must have read my review from 2016 because it was way less salty this time. Looks like all the wait staff is new since we have been there. Will we return??? Questionable.
