Food was delicious but they literally violated every health code regulation out there, from touching eggs to hamburger buns to raw meat no gloves no hand washing then handling money then back to food but it tasted good

My wife and I were staying at Yoder's Guest House across the street after having ridden bikes for 3 days on the GAP. Donges Drive-In looked like our kind of place, and we were not disappointed. The Thursday special is spaghetti with salad and Texas toast. We were greeted with delicious and very generous portions, and had cornbread ice cream for dessert (sounds weird, but it was excellent). The prices are exceptionally reasonable. The service was attentive and charming.
All that would be good enough to warrant a 5 star review, but in addition, my wife left her purse there. A few days later, a box arrived in the mail with her purse and all contents and a very sweet note. In times when it is easy to lose faith in people, this was a very welcome expression of kindness and concern for strangers.
If we are ever anywhere close to Meyersdale again, we will certainly be stopping in.

One of the locals suggested we try the diner! So glad they did. They serve the best tasting iced tea I’ve had in a long time. Well prepared food and friendly service. A quaint small dining area which leads to friendly, local conversation across the aisle. The servers were talkative, personable and engaging. Next time we’re in the area we’ll definitely stop by again.

Great Mom and Pop restaurant and Motel. The food is diner style, and delicious. The Motel is clean and comfortable. Perfect place to stay and eat if your riding the Great Allegheny Passage.

Such a cute little spot that embodies “small town dining”. We are currently making the bike trip from DC to PGH and needed a good wholesome meal after our climb to the continental divide. This place HIT THE SPOT - both in service & food! Def worth a stop if you’re biking or stopping by!

Clean basic cozy rooms. It was our haven after 45 miles on the GAP trail in cold pouring rain. Food was delicious 😋 and owner was very welcoming!!! Highly recommend this place for good down to earth people, rooms, and people. They took great care of us!!!!! Thank you Donges!!!!

Donges is more than just a meal it’s an experience, a laugh, and a darn near home cooked meal every single time. Dinner tonight was absolutely fantastic. HUUUUGE shoutout to Shelly for always making my meal perfectly.
Great food, excellent service, and excellent value over-all. I highly recommend staying here (or at least stopping for food) if you're riding the GAP.
I stayed in the Motel recently while biking the GAP and was satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the proximity to the amazing diner can't be beat! The food was excellent, and the servers were friendly and welcoming. All-in-all this place is highly recommended.
We had the best breakfast today. The service was quick, wonderful, kind and friendly. Great tasting food for a good price.
Awesome diner/drive-in vibe! Great burgers made right in front of you! Bonus points for the crinkle cut fries!
