Such a cute little spot that embodies “small town dining”. We are currently making the bike trip from DC to PGH and needed a good wholesome meal after our climb to the continental divide. This place HIT THE SPOT - both in service & food! Def worth a stop if you’re biking or stopping by!
Clean basic cozy rooms. It was our haven after 45 miles on the GAP trail in cold pouring rain. Food was delicious 😋 and owner was very welcoming!!! Highly recommend this place for good down to earth people, rooms, and people. They took great care of us!!!!! Thank you Donges!!!!
Donges is more than just a meal it’s an experience, a laugh, and a darn near home cooked meal every single time. Dinner tonight was absolutely fantastic. HUUUUGE shoutout to Shelly for always making my meal perfectly.
Great food, excellent service, and excellent value over-all. I highly recommend staying here (or at least stopping for food) if you're riding the GAP.
I stayed in the Motel recently while biking the GAP and was satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the proximity to the amazing diner can't be beat! The food was excellent, and the servers were friendly and welcoming. All-in-all this place is highly recommended.
We had the best breakfast today. The service was quick, wonderful, kind and friendly. Great tasting food for a good price.
Awesome diner/drive-in vibe! Great burgers made right in front of you! Bonus points for the crinkle cut fries!

I LOVE divey diners and this is definitely divey. There were only two ladies working when we first sat down (at the counter - best place to sit), and they were slammed. They both were super friendly, and eventually a third server clocked in to help. They were all awesome and worked as a team to help us. We had a great experience. The Blue Onion burger was amazing. Fries were perfect. We got the last three pieces of cherry pie. I wish we were in town for more than one day, because I’m craving breakfast here.

I was bicycling the GAP Trail with four friends, and stayed the night at Donges Motel. It was easy enough to walk downstairs and pop in for dinner, and I'm glad we did. I had a burger and a caprese salad, plus Perry's ice cream for dessert. The food was good - much better than the inexpensive price they charge. It was a no brainer to pop in again for breakfast in the morning. This time I had a Western omelette, and home fries, and once again the food way outperformed the modest price. The food was good, but it was the diner experience that made this place special. Melissa's Rules (Melissa is the owner) say that you should sit down and visit with those around you, which is what we did. We made lots of new friends, and I really enjoyed watching the back and forth chop busting between the Regulars and the staff. When the wait staff is on a first name basis with the local people, you know you're in the right place.

We were riding the GAP Trail and saying at Yoders Guest House right across the street. This place was wonderful. The two women who were working there did an absolutely amazing jobs taking everyones orders and cooking up all the meals! Everything was great but the maple milkshakes at the end of the meal were especially wonderful!

A month ago my wife and I biked the beautiful Great Allegheny Passage. We started our five day ride at the Golden Triangle in Pittsburgh Pa. After leaving the city of Pittsburgh, we rode through the passage as well as through a number of small towns that truly encapsulated the essence of our country. I am not easily impressed, but I found myself compelled to write a review about Donges Drive-in. After biking all day, this accidental find was the perfect place to tame my beasley appetite. As an outsider in a tiny town I was made to feel completely comfortable. The regulars seemed to know the menu quite well and I just tagged along. The food was amazing and the reasonable prices helped with its digestion. I would like to thank Melissa for running such a welcoming place and a great meal, Amber for her amazing service and caring personality, and Sabrina for all the attention given us. Even though I didn’t get to meet Rox; make sure you have a piece of that delicious….home made pie.
