I was happy to see a sign for vegetarian Indian food along the highway and decided to chance it. This is a truck stop only feet away from the exit, with a small Indian takeout attached. The food was significantly better than expected and exactly what we wanted during a very long drive on I-80. Get the thali.

As I’m standing at the cash register waiting to place my order I just witnessed the guy right in front of me preparing someone’s to go order drop top of to go container on the floor pick it up off the floor didn’t even wipe it off and put it right on the to go container which was full of food ? wow….. you best believe I walked straight out of there. Becareful people they are not sanitary here , if he would do that right in front of a customer what are they doing behind those doors where we can’t see.

This is a cute cozy place very close to i80, we were returning from NYC to OH and thought we'd take a quick lunch pitstop here and wasn't sorry one bit! We came exactly at opening time so ofcourse the e service was slightly slower but when the food is freshly made to order I have nothing to complain and the taste more than made up for the 10-15min wait. We ordered aloo paratha, 1 roti each (since the size of the roti and parantha was like a pizza) and some dal makhni! The aloo parantha was absolutely delicious reminded me of the kind I've had in India, it was served with butter, Indian mango pickle and yogurt! The dal makhni and rotis were simply yummy and I think this is gonna be our regular pitstop every time we're visiting NYC which is atleast once a year!Note: for anyone wondering why the aloo parantha is just mashed potato mix stuffed between 2 flatbreads - cos it's a parantha not a paronthi! There's a difference between them and for those complaining about $1.99 for 1roti! Please look at the size guys! Enjoy the food and stop complaining I definitely recommend this place fore real good authentic Indian food!
