Close to the truck stops, was clean and the employees were very nice and helpful. food was also very good and well worth it . The costumers were even wonderful and kind people. This place actually showed me that there are still amazing kind and selfless people in a world of craziness. It really showed me there is still hope. So I want to Thank everyone from the owner and the staff all the way to the customers of The Browns Hill Tavern And motel. In the difficult time my family has recently experienced. I would like to tell you all we. Thank you all so very much and wish you all the best of fortunes in the future.

This is a review strictly for the motel. I did not eat at the restaurant.

The room was very clean and the walls were thick enough that I barely heard the people in the room next to me. Check-in was easy, you just go to the bartender and they hand you your key and direct you to your room. Yes, the place is dated, as some other reviews mention, but I didn’t mind that.

I do wish they would have turned the heat on in my room before I arrived. I stayed here on a bitter cold day/night and it took a full hour for my room to warm up to my desired temperature. The towels provided were very thin and flimsy, too.

Overall a good stay here, though. I paid just $70 which is cheaper than the Hampton Inn and Quality Inn next door, and I feel it was worth the price I paid.

Was only at the tavern. The food and service was great. The karaoke crowd was ready for a incredible fun 3 hours of singing.

Had a poor tale out experience today. Got a fish dinner to go but got the wrong sides with part of the order missing. Just wasn't the best. Have usually been happy with the food.

Food was extremely greasy. Fries were inedible. Did not enjoy at all. Save yourself time and money eat elsewhere.

They obviously have not hired a real cook. I'll say the food was edible and the rooms (vintage 70's) were clean but crude.

Rooms: Old and not well maintained but clean.

My sisters and I randomly chose Browns Hill Tavern to have lunch on our road trip. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend!

Pros: right off the highway, water was hot.

Cons: non smoking room smelled like smoke, towels were tiny, bed sheets were incredibly itchy, room was noisy between outside noise, the fridge compressor, and the auto dispensing fragrance thing. Black mold in fridge and freezer.

For reference we checked in at 3 and I couldn't sleep after a 7 hour drive and being up all day.

Absolutely awful experience, I'd go somewhere else or sleep in the car.

This place was highly recommended from the hotel I was staying at. I wasn't impressed with it. The fries were way over done and extremely salty as was the crab cake.

We were staying nearby and decided to stop here for dinner. The atmosphere was great. Very relaxing. The food was amazing. I got the tips and they were cooked perfectly. The onion rings are out of this world. The service was great. We had the best server! (she even said it was her first time working for her brother) She was excellent.
