“Went for the first time, it's a beautiful building. Just make sure you order at the counter, food and drinks. I would say food was ok but standard bar food, and the drinks were okay. Also a seperate note there are no high chairs or booster seats.”

“We. Love. This place. I was worried about portion size going in, questioning what the portions would be like. Don’t worry, here you get quality and quantity. We easily got 2 full meals worth of food for each of us. Two of us were filled for $25. And the food itself is absolutely delicious. “It was great to stop again at the Brown's Hill Tavern, unfortunately it was because of taking a break from a snow storm but this is the place where you can feel welcomed. Heather was great at the bar and the food and their prices are definitely the best you can get.”

“A local favorite. Nothing fancy for the interior but the food is great. I recommend anything with bread. Salads or subs. The bread is made in house and tastes amazing. I used to just buy the bread as a snack. They have tons of other stuff too. The menu has grown a lot since I've loved in the area. “Started coming here 2 years ago and it’s become a staple on my route to State College. The service is fast and all employees are very friendly. My go to order are the medium buffalo wings and a 1/2 rack of ribs. Their BBQ sauce is delicious!!”

The place is located right off a side road which conveniently does a loop back to the road you turn off of. So no backtracking! And the hrs? she open in the morning! “I ordered a burger. I didn’t want one of the fancy ones they had on the menu with bacon, so they made one plainer the way I wanted it. It was a few dollars more, but it was the best burger I’ve had in years. Also I tried a Chambord Margarita which I’ve never had before. It wasn’t as sweet as I expected, but it was a serious margarita! I sat at the bar rather than a table. All of the staff and owner were really nice and I felt very comfortable eating out by myself. I am just passing through the area in my travels, but if I am ever back in the area this is the place I would come to eat.”

“Broken Axe Brew Pub has the atmosphere of the old neighborhood, corner bar/tavern. You can tell they pay homage to the blue-collar origins of Lock Haven with the decor throughout. Service is great, Meghan was very friendly and was able to make great spirits recommendations for our cocktails. Food was great! Apple Pie Creme Brulee for dessert was delicious! If you find yourself in downtown Lock Haven some evening, I'd recommend checking out Broken Axe Brew House.Vegetarian options: Their menu has a reasonable amount of options for vegetarian dining.”

The soup was fantastic...and the salad was just over the top ...We eat alot of salads but this was terrific...we can't wait to go again.. The atmosphere was great and the people made you feel at home...the desserts were amazing... I'm on a diet but we had to try a couple and so glad we did.We are both retired and on fixed budgets.. but the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.. If you want a new and refreshing place to eat definitely try Pearls Cafe you'll be glad you did...”
