“The was our first time at Dave and Ruby's. Everything tasted great and the service was excellent. We ordered some Buffalo wings, and they were so fresh out of the fryer that we had to wait a few minutes before starting on them!”

“We have been to Dave and Ruby's several times and always came away happy. We stopped tonight and had the best T-Bone we have ever had in a restaurant. Cooked to perfection--like it medium-well and that's what we got without being burnt. Busy, but still got served quickly and excellent service. We very seldom order steak because we're usually disappointed--not this time--GREAT! We don't usually write reviews, but this time was an exception! Thank you!”

“DQ has been a great spot to stop for ice cream (and other treats). We've come here for many, many years. The value of what you get vs what you pay has decreased but that may be all over the place. Last visit, our order was wrong (again) but I didn't say anything as they were so busy and I know it was a small oversight. We'll be back!”

“I'm shocked this place has so many negative reviews. I'm not from the area but I pass through here every week or so while traveling for work. Over the last couple years I visited this Burger King a couple dozen times and every single time I've had a great experience. So much so that it's my favorite place to stop while traveling through Central Pennsylvania, which is weird because we're talking about a fast food place. The staff is always so friendly that it still catches me off guard sometimes, I never wait more than a couple minutes for my food, and I don't know what they're doing, but the Burger King food here is better than any other bk I can think of, almost like it comes out fresh every time. These people are wizards”

“Wasn't even hungry, stopped for gas across the street, but so glad I went in out of curiosity.They have huge - and delicious- portions (yes, I wasn't hungry but ate anyway because it looked great lol). You can tell they really care about making good food and it's all freshly made, even the bread... Wonderful place to try a smorgasbord of dishes from many different Eastern European / Middle Eastern countries. The service (perhaps the owner's son?) was nothing but attentive and kind. What a pleasant surprise to find such an enjoyable place randomly in the middle of Pennsylvania, though it is conveniently located right off the highway. Will look forward to going back again!(Piano with the piano jazz in the background is a nice touch)”

“I ordered a burger. I didn’t want one of the fancy ones they had on the menu with bacon, so they made one plainer the way I wanted it. It was a few dollars more, but it was the best burger I’ve had in years. Also I tried a Chambord Margarita which I’ve never had before. It wasn’t as sweet as I expected, but it was a serious margarita! I sat at the bar rather than a table. All of the staff and owner were really nice and I felt very comfortable eating out by myself. I am just passing through the area in my travels, but if I am ever back in the area this is the place I would come to eat.”

“Truly one of the shining gems of our area. Beka makes the best food and has the brightest smile the whole time. Absolutely love eating here. The waiters/waitresses are wonderful, personable, and dedicated. If you haven’t been, you must go!Dietary restrictions: They always go above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy. Beka even started stocking up on different gluten-free options to make a small store of items available for me to purchase. She’s amazing”

“Broken Axe Brew Pub has the atmosphere of the old neighborhood, corner bar/tavern. You can tell they pay homage to the blue-collar origins of Lock Haven with the decor throughout. Service is great, Meghan was very friendly and was able to make great spirits recommendations for our cocktails. Food was great! Apple Pie Creme Brulee for dessert was delicious! If you find yourself in downtown Lock Haven some evening, I'd recommend checking out Broken Axe Brew House.Vegetarian options: Their menu has a reasonable amount of options for vegetarian dining.”

“Gateway catered my sister's bridal shower and the food was amazing! They came and set/cleaned everything up for us and provided all utensils, plates, serving platters, cups, table decor, etc. needed. It was truly a full service experience and was so incredibly helpful. I have some picky relatives and they all asked who catered because the food was delicious. I can not recommend them more!”

“Okay the people saying that the tacos are not good have not had authentic Mexican food. These were the best tacos I've had In PA. I got the Carne asada tacos and they were delicious. A little pricey for two tacos but around here I'll pay that. Will be back for sure”

“Had lunch here on the way through the area on 24 March. We had excellent service, delicious soup and terrific entrees. The atmosphere was fantastic with a crackling real fire. The soup was fantastic...and the salad was just over the top ...We eat alot of salads but this was terrific...we can't wait to go again.. The atmosphere was great and the people made you feel at home...the desserts were amazing... I'm on a diet but we had to try a couple and so glad we did.We are both retired and on fixed budgets.. but the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.. If you want a new and refreshing place to eat definitely try Pearls Cafe you'll be glad you did...”

“I've only taken out pizza,The plane and single topping pizzas are cheap at $14 but anything beyond that gets expensive fast example: I recently got two large pies one plain and one with olives, onions, peppers, shrooms, pepperoni. The plain was $14 and the other was $24 for a total of $38.With that being said, it was well worth it.”

“We order fairly regularly from No.1. I've never had a bad meal. It is cash or check only. There is no dining in or delivery. But it is centrally located in town so picking up is not a problem.”

“What an amazing place--incredible historic building, tasty beers with a full bar as well. The bartenders are the best, so warm and welcoming, great for a chat. I felt right at home. The family-run owners are bringing the place back to life, and it's fun to be part of the process. It is a work in progress and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. We went for drinks after dinner elsewhere and didn't realize they serve food too. I'd love to check them out for brunch.”
