We discovered this place on a trip down from Toronto in 2019. Ever since, we've been making pilgrimages whenever we can. The food is amazing, the beer is everything you could hope for and the experience of just being there is next-level.
The Broken Axe is a MUST if you're stopping by or passing through Lock Haven. They've got an incredible selection of beer from around the region, something like 25 taps or so along with non-alcoholic options.Even better is the quality of the food. A lot of ingredients are sourced regionally and everything from burgers to appetizers were phenomenal! Stop in and try a few different beers! Many styles to choose from!

Broken Axe Brew Pub has the atmosphere of the old neighborhood, corner bar/tavern. You can tell they pay homage to the blue-collar origins of Lock Haven with the decor throughout. Service is great, Meghan was very friendly and was able to make great spirits recommendations for our cocktails. Food was great! Apple Pie Creme Brulee for dessert was delicious!
