“Wasn't even hungry, stopped for gas across the street, but so glad I went in out of curiosity.They have huge - and delicious- portions (yes, I wasn't hungry but ate anyway because it looked great lol). You can tell they really care about making good food and it's all freshly made, even the bread... Wonderful place to try a smorgasbord of dishes from many different Eastern European / Middle Eastern countries. The service (perhaps the owner's son?) was nothing but attentive and kind. What a pleasant surprise to find such an enjoyable place randomly in the middle of Pennsylvania, though it is conveniently located right off the highway. Will look forward to going back again!(Piano with the piano jazz in the background is a nice touch)”

“What can be said about Nan's Donuts? The selection is amazing. Filled donuts have lots of filling, no weird film on your tongue from the cake donuts and lots of delicious flavor combinations. I drive thirty minutes to buy these and recommend you do the same!”

“I ordered a burger. I didn’t want one of the fancy ones they had on the menu with bacon, so they made one plainer the way I wanted it. It was a few dollars more, but it was the best burger I’ve had in years. Also I tried a Chambord Margarita which I’ve never had before. It wasn’t as sweet as I expected, but it was a serious margarita! I sat at the bar rather than a table. All of the staff and owner were really nice and I felt very comfortable eating out by myself. I am just passing through the area in my travels, but if I am ever back in the area this is the place I would come to eat.”

“Broken Axe Brew Pub has the atmosphere of the old neighborhood, corner bar/tavern. You can tell they pay homage to the blue-collar origins of Lock Haven with the decor throughout. Service is great, Meghan was very friendly and was able to make great spirits recommendations for our cocktails. Food was great! Apple Pie Creme Brulee for dessert was delicious! If you find yourself in downtown Lock Haven some evening, I'd recommend checking out Broken Axe Brew House.Vegetarian options: Their menu has a reasonable amount of options for vegetarian dining.”

“Had lunch here on the way through the area on 24 March. We had excellent service, delicious soup and terrific entrees. The atmosphere was fantastic with a crackling real fire. Prices were reasonable. If you are in the area and like American cuisine, give this place a try, you will like it.Parking: Plenty of parking and easy/off from roadway”

The burger was amazing, and the owner and staff were beyond accommodating and friendly. Definitely will return when I'm back in the area!Parking: Lots of spaces on st next to Uncle Albert's. “We went to Pearls Cafe for first time ... Got onion soup and winter crisp pear salad... The soup was fantastic...and the salad was just over the top ...We eat alot of salads but this was terrific...we can't wait to go again.. The atmosphere was great and the people made you feel at home...the desserts were amazing... I'm on a diet but we had to try a couple and so glad we did.We are both retired and on fixed budgets.. but the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.. If you want a new and refreshing place to eat definitely try Pearls Cafe you'll be glad you did...”

“I've only taken out pizza,The plane and single topping pizzas are cheap at $14 but anything beyond that gets expensive fast example: I recently got two large pies one plain and one with olives, onions, peppers, shrooms, pepperoni. The plain was $14 and the other was $24 for a total of $38.With that being said, it was well worth it.”

“What an amazing place--incredible historic building, tasty beers with a full bar as well. The bartenders are the best, so warm and welcoming, great for a chat. I felt right at home. The family-run owners are bringing the place back to life, and it's fun to be part of the process. It is a work in progress and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. We went for drinks after dinner elsewhere and didn't realize they serve food too. I'd love to check them out for brunch.”

“Atmosphere is always decent when I go in I just never there long enough to really experience it because I just grabbed my bread and my peppers and i'd be on my way. but I love the fact that I get an entire loaf of this thick dense delicious Italian bread, these peppers are to die for and sweet cream butter of course.My daughter and I literally love them so freaking much. They're like a little treat to ourselves! I got my best friend addicted to them and other people as well, ha ha sorry but sorry! ♥︎”

“Stopped in for lunch today. Haven't been for awhile and was wanting to go back. Actually tried to pop in last Friday evening but upon opening the door and seeing no tables available (mind you, the place is small and narrow and basically has maybe four high top tables unless you sit at the bar), we opted to go elsewhere for our dinner....But today we arrived around lunch time and was able to grab the last empty table. Our server (who was also the bartender), Sarah, greeted us with menus and took our drink orders. I chose the tuna and swiss melt and hubby ordered a dozen wings. My sandwich came with a small bag of chips (fries for a slight upcharge).Our meals came promptly and looked delicious. One bite of mine and I knew I'd made the right choice. The tuna salad was nicely blended and didn't have an overpowering fishy taste. Piled between crunchy buttery toasty wheat bread, it was the type of sandwich that you needed a knife and fork and I enjoyed every bite.Wings were meaty and the sauce was the perfect amount of heat with just a tease of sweetness (I tried one) - and hubby agreed. A dozen of these were quite substantial and we wound up asking for a box to take five home.We're glad we stopped in and will definitely be back. Nice job, Old Corner!”
