“We always stop by whenever we visit The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle State Park. Everything is delicious and it is a cozy place to eat breakfast or lunch. We bring a box home with us and the pastries are good for a week. They post on their Facebook page the menu for the weekend and if they have any schedule changes.”

“A true dive Bar so smoky you can't see the other end if the bar. However, the renovated dining room which is best entered thru the totally run down front door has really good food at reasonable prices. One of my go to local eateries for sure.”

“I ordered a burger. I didn’t want one of the fancy ones they had on the menu with bacon, so they made one plainer the way I wanted it. It was a few dollars more, but it was the best burger I’ve had in years. Also I tried a Chambord Margarita which I’ve never had before. It wasn’t as sweet as I expected, but it was a serious margarita! I sat at the bar rather than a table. All of the staff and owner were really nice and I felt very comfortable eating out by myself. I am just passing through the area in my travels, but if I am ever back in the area this is the place I would come to eat.”

“Broken Axe Brew Pub has the atmosphere of the old neighborhood, corner bar/tavern. You can tell they pay homage to the blue-collar origins of Lock Haven with the decor throughout. Service is great, Meghan was very friendly and was able to make great spirits recommendations for our cocktails. Food was great! Apple Pie Creme Brulee for dessert was delicious! If you find yourself in downtown Lock Haven some evening, I'd recommend checking out Broken Axe Brew House.Vegetarian options: Their menu has a reasonable amount of options for vegetarian dining.”

“Went for the first time, it's a beautiful building. Just make sure you order at the counter, food and drinks. I would say food was ok but standard bar food, and the drinks were okay. Also a seperate note there are no high chairs or booster seats.”

We easily got 2 full meals worth of food for each of us. Two of us were filled for $25. And the food itself is absolutely delicious. “We went to Pearls Cafe for first time ... Got onion soup and winter crisp pear salad... The soup was fantastic...and the salad was just over the top ...We eat alot of salads but this was terrific...we can't wait to go again.. The atmosphere was great and the people made you feel at home...the desserts were amazing... I'm on a diet but we had to try a couple and so glad we did.We are both retired and on fixed budgets.. but the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.. If you want a new and refreshing place to eat definitely try Pearls Cafe you'll be glad you did...”
