This Diner is one of my must go to places in Erie. The food NEVER disappoints, the service is always amazing. Definitely one of the best restaurants in town!!!

Met my cousin here for lunch. It was his first visit to Gem City and it did not disappoint. I love the Avocado ? Toast and almost always get the same thing. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and food was yummy.

I was in Erie for the first time in 11years or so for work. Reconnected with a friend for brunch. He chose Gem city. Let me tell ya the name says it all. It’s the gem of the city. Obviously this was my first time here. What a great spot. Great vibes. I ordered the gem city omelette. It was refreshing from the usual western omelette I would order elsewhere. Came with thicc rye toast. Awesome. Smash browns were delicious. Had to try a pancake. Was awesome. Highly recommend coming here. Thank you Gem city

Great breakfast! Never have an issue with food or service. Usually a decent wait time if you're looking for a table or a booth but it is 100% worth it. Seating at bar is usually open.

We were greeted with IMMEDIATE acknowledgement and smiling faces- what a pleasant surprise to see here in the service industry of Erie, PA. Served in super timely fashion despite it being very busy. Food was great. I'm midway through my pregnancy and for the first time in a long time I was TOTALLY satisfied with my overall experience in a service industry establishment! Service was fantastic. For the first time in a month since moving here, I felt very comfortable around those who were serving me my food/drinks. They were friendly, they smiled, they communicated directly to me with eye contact, they checked on me. Unlike many other places i have experienced in Erie, those serving me here were not rude, oozing with attitude/ego, nor miserable! I'm so thankful for this space, the service, and the environment they provide for their guests. 100%, no doubt abaht it, 10 stars in my book. Thankyou Gem City Dinor.Kid-friendliness: I thought it was nice they had a little toy machine for kids to get toys out of. Great music playing for family atmosphere too.

Absolutely amazing food!! Best breakfast food I have had in Erie. They always have a wide variety of fun specials too. There is usually a bit of a wait if you go during peak breakfast/lunch hours, so plan accordingly.

There was one couple waiting to be seated after us. We had three people in our party. My husband was working and was going to meet us. I knew what he was going to order but they refused to seat us because he was not there. They just lost customers.
