Came in for the first time today, i ordered the seafood trio and my husband had 1/2 rack of ribs with fries. The service was fast and very friendly, food arrived quickly and was steaming hot. My seafood trio had crab cakes, salmon and shrimp skewers with a lemon sauce and risotto. Without a doubt this was the most temder salmon and shrimp i have EVER had in a restraunt. The lemon sauce made the flavors exceptional the crab cakes were also very good and the risotto was perfect. My husband ribs and fries were also very good, french fries are fresh cut, ribs were falling off the bone. We also ordered specialty cocktails that were very good.
To say I was amazed to be served this amazing food here in Minersville would be an understatement.
The owner/chef came out to our table and spoke to us he was kind and friendly.
If you are looking for good food and you are any where close to minersville, you HAVE to try the Little Brown Barrel. I promise you wont be disapppionted.
Location is very easy to find as it sits right along route 901 and there was plenty of on street parking.

I've gotten takeout from this place a few times and it was good. However, the last few times there has been a lot of wait time with seemingly no reason (I was told 25 minutes to pick up the order, got there in 25 minutes and then had to wait another 20 minutes for it to be completed with only 2 other people in the restaurant and they were seemingly not busy).

We went last night (a Monday) for dinner in house. There were probably 3 or 4 other tables there, maybe 8 other people in the restaurant total. Our waitress was kind, but we waited 45 minutes after our order and our food never came. We watched every table that came in after us receive their food before us. No one came and apologized for the wait, no one even acknowledged that we waited for 45 minutes for our food. We left after that and will not be back.

It's unfortunate because the food is pretty good, but waiting that long and still not having food when there's no dinner rush is just bad service.

We ate here for the first the other week and it was amazing!. We did the crap dip bowl appetizer, caesar salad, elk burger and seafood trio. Food was ready in a timely manner, service was excellent and the owner gave great conversation. We will be returning.

We were driving far into Pennsylvania to buy something on Facebook Marketplace. When you get into rural areas alot of places to eat close as early as 8 PM! So I was happy to find a place with a kitchen open till 11 PM!!! With good reviews!!!
When I called to confirm, the bartender was like “see you soon!” Charlie is so friendly and a fantastic server, as are his coworkers!
OK on to the food… the food here is not ordinary bar food… it is excellent restaurant food! They have daily bargain specials like smoked wings and pirogies… so delicious!!! Had a sausage sandwich with fries also excellent! A side salad… excellent!!!
And of course there is the bar!!! They have an ENORMOUS selection of beers on tap and canned. So much to choose.
We had a cranberry mango Ipso Lacto and a Peach beer. Thank you for your hospitality, Charlie!!!

We were traveling through the area , searched for a place to eat . Glad we found this. It was a Sunday so the parking was free , but they have a paid street parking. Good selection of beers , great food and great service. We will be back for sure. Loved it.

Not only was the food great, it is DOG FRIENDLY! Everyone from the staff, people sitting at the bar, and other families out to eat, were friendly. It was like walking into "Cheers" of Minersville. I will definitely go back. The next time I will have to try the house Sangria, on tap.

First time visiting here since seeing people talk about it on Facebook and it was amazing. The steak was the best I have had in a long time and the prices are not bad at all.
