“Took my mom here for dinner tonight after the recommendation of a friend. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and carrots and she got the meatloaf. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and nice. We ended are meal with a piece of the baklava cheesecake (honestly the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had), before the check was even brought my mom was already making plans to bring her brother and his wife. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends highly recommend.”

“I don't know where to start, but, what I can say is as a foodie I've been to alot and I mean ALOT of restaurants. And this place, these people, their food??? top notch I felt family, I walked out hugging their family Serena was my waitress so attentive went above and beyond Emily was the owner and spent so much time with us made sure that our experience was memorable and I can now call her a friend I can't say enough about these people and how I highly suggest that everybody stop here and meet them but try there amazing food I started off with a meatball appetizer stuffed mushrooms both were fantastic our dinners where salmon with pasta the blackened salmon was probably the best I've ever had the other dinner was cacio e pepe with shrimp absolutely fantastic as well creamy sauce pasta cooked perfectly! We had smoked old fashioned they brought this metal box smoker onto the table that smelled amazing which included the old fashioned inside I think that it was pretty neat I also had a Godfather which was Jack Daniels and amaretto which tasted very good as well they bring you fresh baked bread and homemade oil and balsamic dipping sauce what states did so so good and also gave me fresh bread to take home and sauce and they ended up giving us a cannoli which tasted fantastic as well they are known for their eight layer lasagna that they happen to run out of when we got there so I end up making the trip again even though it was an hour and a half drive to Monessen it was well worth the drive I can't say enough about these people in their business and their food I highly recommend them if you go just tell them that I sent you and let me know about your experience as well!”

“This is really the only place in town to get "a dozen assorted donuts". Very old town timey bakery and good selection and prices and quick and easy. I don't know why it is so difficult to get a dozen doughnuts but even shop and save cant get this right so skip all that and just go to Keystone. Nice cookie assortment too for later in the day.”

“We went here on a whim because another place a few towns over was booked solid. I agree, they need to make their "cash only" policy more evident upon arrival. My wife and I got side salads, and the house dressing was vinegar forward - I liked that, but some mightn't. Our friend shared his order of Awesome Blossom Petals, and they were good. I got the Italian sausage bake. It's a lot, and it was good, but not so good that I'm interested in reheating the to-go leftovers. Our waitress was nice. It was weird that the hostess and the waitress were sitting at the dining table next to us when they weren't waiting on us. They have tripe, so they're still on the "I'll probably go back to check that out" list.”

“Visited this fine establishment with some friends and I must say, the food is amazing. The venue is for fine dining and is small and quaint. So make sure you make a reservation or you will find yourself out of luck. It can also be pricey but with what you get it's well worth a special night with your spouse or small group. I had the Lobster Romano which was amazing. And my wife had the filet mignon. She's already asking to return for her birthday. Everything here is quality. A+”

“My mom & I love to visit different coffee shops and this one was definitely one we will come back to! The atmosphere is cozy from the moment you walk in with different homemade local arts/goodies to browse. There are lots of different options to choose from as far as coffee/tea flavors go. I ended up getting the Baristas Choice of “Caramel Brownie Latte” and my mom got the Seasonal “Luck Charms”. Both were so yummy!! Would recommend and will be back again ?”

“This place is just flat out AWESOME! Not only are the sundae creations unique, but they're DELICIOUS! The old school candy throughout the shop took me back to my childhood instantly, and the newer creations appealed to my daughters! (freeze dried gummi works?! Oh yes!!) The gentleman that owns the restaurant is so kind and you can tell he takes pride in his food and has a lot of knowledge on what he serves! Very authentic cuisine. No worries though, there's a gas station right up the street.. it charged me $2.95 ugh!Parking: Big gravel lot that surrounds the red caboose!”

“This was a mixed bag. There were 8 of us. Parking is sufficient, right off 88, not hard to find. Easy wheelchair access. After ordering, you seat yourself. They don't take reservations. Waitresses bring your drinks & food to the table.You order at a cafeteria counter, but the food is upscaled. They smoke their own meats outside in the parking lot. The menu is varied with brisket & pulled pork as the smoked products served in familiar as well as new formats like a pulled pork taco. Smelled great, but I was determined to try the buttered lobster roll. It was amazing! Small, tender bun stuffed with the meat of 1 lobster all in butter, unfortunately I did bite into a small bit of shell. Hubby tried the lentil, ham, veggie soup. It was a pretty large bowl & really good. His entree was a shaved ribeye sandwich, also excellent, although I thought it could have had more meat. Crispy, salted waffle fries were terrific. Others had burger, small plate salmon dinner, crab cake - everyone was pleased. The desserts were not very good. Creme Brulee & cheesecake were good, cookies & brownies were hard, not good.Overall, I would go back again. Next trip I will be trying those tacos.”

The brightness and cleanliness appeal to the senses.Back room is a little dark for my tastes, and in summer with AC full blast, wear a jacket.
