“We do not have an Indian restaurant where I live. It is my favorite cuisine. I have driven to Monroeville more times than I can count to satisfy my family’s Indian cravings (yes even my 7 year old loves Indian food). I can say without a doubt this is the best I have tried in the Pittsburgh area. The freshness and quality is so amazing. The owner is very personable and service is great. I will go no where else but this place going forward. So happy a decided to stop on a whim!“

“Awesome south Indian food that tastes like homemade food. I've visited multiple times in 3 weeks, and will be regularly back here. Also is in the perfect location, very close to the Venkateshwara temple, and is worth visiting on the way back.“

“I love the amount of real spices they use in their curries. I can tell that the restaurant has a great quality of food. I am very sensitive to (hot) spices, but I want to enjoy the flavors of Indian food. If I ask for a 0 the spice level feels too hot for me. Last time I came, I asked for them to adjust the spice level to be milder than 0. They were able to reduce the heat in the dish to levels I could handle without reducing the flavor. I have not dined in at this restaurant, but enjoy the ambience of the place. It is clean and the decor is eye catching.“

“I visited Choolaah in East Liberty and Corey , the managing partner, genuinely made the stop worth it. He helped me with my order, walked me through a couple of options without rushing, and our conversation didn’t feel forced or scripted. You can tell he actually pays attention to people. It’s rare to find someone in management who’s that present and helpful from start to finish. Because of Corey, the whole experience felt smooth and welcoming. I’d come back just off the strength of the service alone.“
