When we were there it was quiet. Service was quick. The baked chicken was delicious and the special of the day. It included 2 whole chicken leg quarters. It's a simple place and the food wasn't fancy but I really enjoyed it. My meal was under $9 and the chicken was enough for 2 meals. Plenty of parking. A nice country restaurant.
I used to go in here from time to time. Last place on earth that still sells home made slices of really good Betty Crocker- like chocolate cake with vanilla icing. Ahhh just like Mom made. And their breakfast really isn’t bad at all. I like their omelets. So there is that. However, the service is hit or miss. I had to wait a long time to be served on multiple locations. Time stopped about 25 years ago at Claire's. You can buy a cheeseburger ? for $5, with fixings. We played a game while we waited for our food, "spy what's crooked ?." We were occupied until our order arrived. Our server was cranky until she wasn't.Go on and give it a try. Or don't.
