My wife and I have been coming here for years, before the renovation, during the renovation, and after the renovation, on a weekly basis. We are always happy with the waitresses, the food, and the atmosphere.

Service and atmosphere were good. Food was terrible. Instant mashed potatoes. Frozen calamari. I can make better pizza at home.

Everything is good but the pizza is just so so. Sauce way to sweet and average crust at best and cheese never cooked enough. Whole thing is overpowered by the sickening sweet sauce.
Chicken parm could be thinner like a cutlet was too thick. Not the mattuccis I remember from years ago.

What a nice restaurant in Mt Carmel. Great atmosphere and service with a smile. Best meatballs and yummy sauce. Didn't care for the bread, I prefer crusty bread with a soft center. Other than that, it was an A+.

Skimpy on toppings of pizza. Shrimp chopped up. Hardly get any. Also why not have. Parchment paper under the pizza instead of just the box. . Shrimp chopped up. Freezing cold in there. Been going 50 yrs. Crust was thin and like cardboard. Disappointed again. Not consistent

Great food
Food was alright, not to the Matucci standard. Tables were being reserved a couple hours before the actual group(s) were there. Call in order was prioritized before diners. We live 30-40 minutes away, most likely won't go out of the way to eat there again.
The cream of the crop. Gourmet cooking in the Italian style. Been open for maybe 4 Generations of Mattuccis. Best restaurant in 50 miles in any direction. Always good, very consistent. My complements to the chef. Save up your money. Some evenings you should make a reservation.

Ordered full meals for take out. Called ahead. Everything was hot and ready on time and the staff were so friendly!! Hometown restaurant. Good food, great people. Just like you remembered it!!
Horrible! Pizza crust was hard as a rock. They tried to give us one pizza when we paid for two. Guy threw pizza back in oven because he forgot to add ricotta. Dominoes would have been better.
Absolutely HORRIBLE! Not even close to what it was when the Mattucci family owned it. Spaghetti tastes like soap, sauce was sour, pizza dough raw. TERRIBLE!
We visited tonight and we were able to get a table immediately but our food took forever and it was very disappointing. The chicken parmesan was very thick and hard and the sauce on the pasta was too sweet. The salad was laughably small and one of our party ordered soup and never got it, but her entree also arrived a while after everyone else's. Her chicken marsala was rubbery and underseasoned. When the waitress asked if we wanted dessert we told her we had to be at a play in 6 minutes and she was pretty cocky about that. I would never go there again. It was NOT authentic Italian and it was expensive.
I didn't go to the actual restaurant part, I was at a party in the back room. It was perfect sized room for our event, and considering the large amount of people we got out food and drinks rather quickly considering. I only tried the anti pasta salad and the fried ravioli which were clearly homemade. A little on the pricey side but portion side in great so that kinda evens it out. Look forward to trying other things.
Kid-friendliness: Not the best place ever for kids but certainly do able.
