“Found this hidden gem looking for soup after tooth extraction.. zupa and potatoe soup was awesome! I don't like kale but this was good.. the tater soup was tender and delicious too.. the chef salad was fresh and crisp, I even ate some of the cucumbers! “I just went to Big Dan's BBQ yesterday and it is the best! I’ve had BBQ in Arkansas, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia, these ribs and brisket are the best I’ve tasted. Everything has that genuine smoky flavor through and through, including the chicken drumsticks and pulled pork, and then you can add any of their 6 homemade sauces. “Not only is the ice cream tasty, but it comes in a massive portion. The water mill is a cute touch and is a great focal point for kids and adults alike. They have a good variety of flavors here, but not so many that you stress yourself trying to choose. If you're visiting the park and you're looking for ice cream this place is worth the visit.”

“We haven't been there for a while for no particular reason. From the time I called for a reservation, the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was busy but service and food was very good. We met Michelle and she was very gracious. The only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 is because it's a little dated, but it's cozy and friendly. We will definitely return.”

“First time here and it was so good! The gentleman recommended the street tacos and they were so delicious! The salsa had a nice kick to it and the rice and beans that came on the side were a great pairing with the tacos. Definitely coming back :)”

“Very crowded (good for them). Maybe should have more than 2 people behind bar on nights like that night, they had a live band. Very hard to get served. People were getting served before us consistently, not sure why. We are members, just at a different lodge, but no one knew this because it was open to the public that night. Guess I shouldn't have worn my cloak of invisibility, haha. Overall the live band was a good plan, but painfully executed with great difficulty. I felt bad for the 2 women behind the bar trying to keep up with everyone, it was non-stop. We've been thinking about switching our membership to this one. Still not sure. But having events like this would bring us out more, that's for sure. Definitely they need more than 2 people behind the bar in the future.”

“I can't get over how good and unique a screamer with fluff is. This is not just a beef patty with sweet and hot flavor. It is delicious. Can't say anything about the rest of the menu. Service is good and efficient and this place is only open 2 days a week currently and the line forms around an hour before opening. Take a number. I am told they are only open until they sell out. “Such a great, local, family owned restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic. Always made fresh. Great variety on the menu from steaks, burgers, hot sandwiches (the hot roast beef and turkey are not to be missed), to seafood, like shrimp, lobster, and crab legs. You CAN NOT leave without one of their homemade deserts. Cakes, pies, apple dumplings, brownies, and more.The restaurant does get busy at times, but the staff does a great job of turning over tables and there is never much of a wait (I can't ever remember waiting more than 10 minutes or so). The wait staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful.”
