“My 1st visit today, Lucked out and stopped by since we were in the area, they were open and hooked us up with a great square, we chose xchez and the hot sauce on the side..what more to say, the dough is rising in the pans waiting for the evening crowd, it is take out only, but very clean, very friendly people, they had a little bistro table outside which worked perfect for us..first bite, oh, the smell of fresh dough and that cheese!!! OMG, loved it!”

“Great historical place. This is the establishment that was owned by the leader of the “Molly Maguire” Black Jack Kehoe. Still family owned and operated by my uncle Joseph Wayne. My uncle and long time friend who recently died John Elliott were able to get Jack Kehoe a pardon for his crimes in the late 70’s by Governor Shapp. My Uncle is one of the best historians to speak to about the Mollys’ along with retired post master of Girardville Thomas Dempsey. The Hibernian House also has rooms available for rent if you need or would like to stay for a visit. It was recently restored back to what the bar was originally like in the late 1800’s. Also known as the land mark where the labor movement rights began for workers in America. We wouldn’t have what we have today if it wasn’t for the men who died at the end of a rope fighting for better working conditions and rights which we all have today. It all began in the small village in Girardville and surrounding areas of Schuykill County.”

“I can't get over how good and unique a screamer with fluff is. This is not just a beef patty with sweet and hot flavor. It is delicious. Can't say anything about the rest of the menu. Service is good and efficient and this place is only open 2 days a week currently and the line forms around an hour before opening. Take a number. I am told they are only open until they sell out. “Can't give this place enough stars! It was like going to a museum that you could drink at! If you're into local history, or history about the Molly McGuire's this place is a must go. If you go say hi to Joe. Joe is the owner, restoration chief, bartender, historian and part time stand-up comic. My friends n I stayed there for 3 hrs, no TV or music playing just great conversation, good jokes, and a warm Jameson shot with Smithwicks backer. SLAINTE!”
