“OMG! I have eaten BBQ all through the South and NOTHING compares to Gorky’s! I had a half a slab of ribs with Gorky’s own sauce and the home made cornbread and it was absolutely AMAZING! The taste, the tenderness of the ribs and the cornbread…it was incredible! The service was top notch and our waitress was super friendly and very informative! I cannot wait to come back and have more!!!”

“Was there for a special event tonight. Guess you could say it was a benefit for someone, they had the band Contagious playing music and for a $10.00 cover charge they had some great food for everyone to eat granted cash bar, drinks were very reasonable.”

“This is a private club. Very cheap prices and a nice atmosphere. They finally got rid of one of the worst bartenders I've ever seen. I thought he must have been in the union or something to still have a job there. A lot of good people are members there. Hopefully with a change of bartenders people will come back. Nice club.”

“My friends and I showed up 20 minutes before closing and the attendant was kind and quick. The pie was really good. We bought the chocolate creme and apple pie. The chocolate creme pie was a little bit better, since the apple pie was a tad dry. Otherwise, no complaints!”

“The Village in Mount Pleasant has been our favorite restaurant for at least 25 years. When you arrive, you feel like you're in a LOCAL establishment, and the service confirms that feeling. We are vegetarian and never have an issue finding meat-free meals, and if we're not doing their wonderful pizzas, we go for the gnocchi or pasta dishes with marinara. YUM!! Drink and food prices are very reasonable, and the staff is mostly local family and friends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

“We come out to eat here more than any of our local restaurants. Twice this week we have been there. My husband ordered the pot roast omelette, both times he had asked for no green peppers and was told no problem but yet still had them all through it. When we told our waitress it just seemed not to be a big deal of hers. This evening alone my silverware was greasy, we ended up having to ask the shift supervisor for a drink refill and she ended up getting our box and check for us, my son's plate had something hard cooked in the scrambled eggs as well. This evening we came in a little after 7. There were still a few tables and someone came in after us. Towards the end it seemed like everyone sat in the back and didn't care about anything. I understand it's almost closing time but still. I was so annoyed with our visit this time. There's no consistency in service sometimes.”

“10 out of 10! They have lots of vegan options! They have melty vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni! Plus select vegan desserts! There is a bar as well 🍻 We had the stramboli with vegan cheese, it comes with a choice of 3 toppings and we chose, of course the vegan pepperoni, then artichoke and fire roasted tomatoes 🤤 Wow this was good! Served with red sauce. Then for dessert we had the vegan SunButter chocolate chip. On top of the great food and drinks, we had a lovely vegan waitress 💚”

“The place has the best coffee in the area. They have hot and iced coffees and they have Lotus drinks you can have caffeine or no caffeine to help boost energy if you aren't a coffee person. The atmosphere in there is so cozy and welcoming. Let's talk about the staff. The owners, that are also the workers, are truly amazing people. They are extremely nice and welcoming, and they do what they can to help give back to the community. If you are looking for a nice place to grab a drink and maybe even a little snack from thier baked goods that are brought in, this is definitely the place to stop at!”

“Came to visit and see where it all began for Helltown. What a great venue, amazing outdoor area with multiple places to sit, firepits, and enjoyed listening to some music outside. Bartenders were super friendly and beer was amazing of course. Highly recommend stopping by for a visit if you've never been, and if you have....stop again!!”

We picked this place because it was nearly halfway along our route — and we couldn’t have chosen a better stop! 🍻 Going into “enemy territory,” one never knows how the locals will react to you cheering for the visiting team — especially when Pittsburgh was playing Cincinnati that night. 😅 But we couldn’t have been more surprised! They welcomed us with open arms, and everyone was extremely friendly and laid back. Their selection of craft beers was amazing, and we ordered multiple flights to sample as many as we could. 🍺🐾 Even better, they’re pet-friendly, and our pup Gracie was free to wander around and soak up the attention from fellow patrons who stopped to play with her and talk football with our crew. They also have an amazing outdoor seating area with fire pits and multiple TVs, perfect for relaxing and catching a game.
