OMG! I have eaten BBQ all through the South and NOTHING compares to Gorky’s! I had a half a slab of ribs with Gorky’s own sauce and the home made cornbread and it was absolutely AMAZING! The taste, the tenderness of the ribs and the cornbread…it was incredible! The service was top notch and our waitress was super friendly and very informative! I cannot wait to come back and have more!!!
My wife and I were looking around for a decent Barbecue place when we found Gorky's and let me just say they definitely did not disappoint! The menu serves so much great food reasonably priced and HUGE portions! The staff is excellent, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting, very laid back! Both the wife and I loved this place so much we're planning to stop again in a matter of days! Thank you Gorky's for making our vacation even sweeter!
Decided to try a different place for dinner . Sat at the bar with room. Ordered right away and got a beer. Good food and service .
We were greeted immediately upon entering, and the waitress was very helpful with advice about the menu.
Great food, got takeout, apparently they thought I was taking the food home, as the mayo and ketchup was on the side, they gave me a good amount but no plastic knife to put it on my burger, a very juicy delicious burger with no napkins. That I ate while driving (takeout). Great place, just bring your own paper towels 😎
Best ribs I've had in a WHILE
Definitely NOT your typical BBQ joint. The restaurant and staff were fine, the food... garbage. The pulled pork & brisket came out on a plate with water all around it. We should have stopped there. Pulled pork was in big chunks and tasted AWFUL, like microwaved trash. The sides were no better.
Cornbread had a good taste, I bet it would have been amazing if it was fresh.
As we left, we then notice there was NO SMOKER outside. That Definitely told us what we needed to know.
Waste of $30
This is real bbq and boy howdy does it taste amazing
Ordered takeout over the phone on a Sunday night an hour before closing and that all went smoothly. Staff were friendly and attentive. Full rack of ribs was very generous, very meaty and tender, without being too tender ($28). The sauce seemed to have been added at the end and wasn't really 'integrated' with the ribs, but that was OK with me. Also ordered a half-pound of brisket ($12) and was disappointed. It was basically water boiled, which was absolutely not what I think of as BBQ or how I like it. Not sure if it was a one-off or misunderstanding on my end. Ended up adding it to oxtail soup I had left over from a Taiwanese restaurant earlier in day, which rescued the brisket from being binned. I realized once I stepped inside to pick up the order that I had been here once before ~5+ years ago. I don't think anything inside has changed. :) Being a Sunday night it was super quiet with only a two couples finishing dinner. There was a big TV by the bar if you want to stop by and watch a game with dinner/drinks.

Family-run restaurant with great food. The ribs were excellent—the meat was tender, tasty and came off the bone nicely. Chicken and brisket were also delicious. Sandwiches have a lot of meat.

I only get here once or twice a year but it’s always a treat. The corn bread is like dessert and the pulled pork is delicious. Worth a special trip, for sure.

Eaten here a couple times. Not a huge rib or steak guy so my go to is pulled pork and it is awesome here. Sure the bread falls apart and it gets real messy but it is really a great sandwich. The staff is always top notch. Don’t expect a fine dining type of vibe here. I wouldn’t call this place a “dive” but the decor inside has a very dated feel. But I think this is what gives this local place its charm.

I'm sorry I don't really enjoy saying things like this but I didn't enjoy this place or care for their food
