The Village Reviews
The Village in Mount Pleasant has been our favorite restaurant for at least 25 years. When you arrive, you feel like you're in a LOCAL establishment, and the service confirms that feeling.
We are vegetarian and never have an issue finding meat-free meals, and if we're not doing their wonderful pizzas, we go for the gnocchi or pasta dishes with marinara. YUM!! Drink and food prices are very reasonable, and the staff is mostly local family and friends. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The service was very good but the food was not. The spaghetti sauce tasted like tomato sauce from a can. The Alfredo sauce looked & tasted like jar sauce, was definitely not homemade. The meatballs were awful. The pizza was not bad though. Very disappointing to say the least.
The pizza is fantastic! My husband brought me home a veggie pizza with broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms today and it was delicious! 😋 We have always had a good experience there. Great spot in the heart of MP to stop for some pizza, Italian food, or drinks!

The Village is a restaurant located in downtown Mt. Pleasant, known for its kid-friendly atmosphere and upscale service. The menu features Italian dishes, including a highly recommended pepperoni pizza and wedding soup. The gnocchi has been praised for its soft texture and the vodka sauce was particularly enjoyable. The Philly cheese steak hoagie is also a popular choice. Recent reviews highlight generous portions, with one customer mentioning the large chicken parm. The cannoli is noted as a very good dessert. Many guests return regularly, especially for the large pizza, which is enjoyed quickly by families. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant offers a bar area and quiet dining spaces with a classy selection of adult beverages. Prices are moderate, making it a good option for family dinners or a night out. Some customers wish the lighting was brighter, as it can be dark enough to need a phone flashlight to read the menu. Overall, the restaurant maintains a reputation for good food and friendly service, with some occasional comments about food quality. It is a short drive from New Stanton.
