We were there Valentines day so yes they were busy. However, the staff seemed like it was their first night. Once we had our drinks and placed our order from their limited menu the place fell apart in the large dining room. A grp of 10 placed their order. Dinner was served in spurts. they didn't even get their salads first. At one point the last gentleman didn't even get a meal because everyone was done eating. I think he went right for dessert. Being a couple of two, ours wasn't as bad. Salad was served, then dinner and dessert. The prime rib was more like a steak cut. I saw one other couple that wasn't enjoying their meal either as it was only one of the two eating at a time. I'll give the place another try on a slower evening. In fact, as I was waiting on my husband, a couple walked in, I said I hope you aren't in a hurry. She said you are the third person to tell us that!

We stayed after a day at the county fair. Room was clean and comfortable. Everything worked as it should. Food was good. Owner and bartender both very friendly and accommodating,good conversations with staff and locals. Will definitely stay again when in the area

We stayed here during the 4th of July 2024 and found this place to be very comfortable and inviting. If you are looking for that late 1800’s country feel, this is the place to go. The old country Inn feeling is all around you sprinkled with a few modern amenities, tucked away in this tiny little town called Sonestown. The Owner Ron, his son Rylan and the staff couldn’t have been more nicer and welcoming, and on top of it we rolled in at 11:00pm. I couldn’t stop looking at the old woodwork and pictures. The sonestown country inn is a great place to visit, dont know about the rooms but the atmosphere downstairs and food is great! Seafood specials are amazing. Staff is wonderful and always a pleasure to be around.

Found this place by accident . We were going to get a room in Williamsport but the LL World Series was going on. Someone told us to try Sonestown Inn . We Loved the Historic Building and the Furniture. It got really cold at night in the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay there. Plus there was a Kid from there on American Idol. Signs all over the town supporting him. We will Never forget our stay in Sonestown . We were on our way home to Delaware on our Motorcycle and needed a place to stay. Thanks

My favorite place to eat and drink. They have the BEST cheese steaks in Sullivan County hands down!! They have a decent size menu, something for everyone. I highly recommend the seafood platter. They have live music fairly often and offer a outside bar when the weather is nice.
We had dinner there was excellent the cook does a great job. Wait staff was very friendly. Always check to see if we needed anyone. Went back on wing night great wings and pizza was good , will be back

I love the food here. The chicken quesadilla is one of my favorites. I love the bacon cheeseburger and I also love the chicken ceasar salad. I actually love all the food here. I mean I am the cook. But I really enjoy the people I work with, my boss Ron is also a cook and I think we make some of the best food around. We are always trying to come up with new and different foods to put on the menu and to change things up. The atmosphere here is very nice.
Nearby activities: There are lots of hiking trails. There is a war museum in sonestown and a car and plane museum in eagles mere. Lots of beautiful scenery to see.
Walkability: There is creek behind the bar you can walk back and enjoy the creek.
