“Probably the best meatloaf I've ever had. The portion was very sizeable and the price was amazing. The people working there was very very friendly. I waited for my take out and they treated me like I was a regular. The mini cornbread was ridiculously good. I could eat a dozen and not blink an eye. I will definitely be back.“

“Did delivery. Ordered the Drumsticks with Hot Honey, Hushpuppies with Comback Sauce, and Homemade Biscuits with Blackberry Jam and Honey Butter. I was a huge fan of the Drumsticks. Cooked perfectly, not overseasoned. Could argue slightly underseasoned, but would take away from the hot Honey. Great pairing. The Hushpuppies were overcooked, so I can't really judge how good they were. The Comback sauce saved them, that sauce is on point, wished the hushpuppies weren't overcooked. The biscuits were also somewhat overdone. I feel that the Blackberry jam was a tad too tart. I didn't taste the honey in the honey butter. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good, either. I am encouraged with the potential, though. I will give them another shot.“

“It was a very nice experience with a live band. 3 different bands the night I went, and the talent was pretty good here. They are seasoned bands that I've experienced. The staff is very attentive, and we lacked nothing but the end of the night. The food was delicious with attractive presentations. A unique drink menu leaving for something to explore. Very nice decor and ambiance. A charge to be seated at a table near the stage, which is perfect for date night or something more cozy. Though a bit tight, the clientele fit the atmosphere, so it doesn't feel as tight. For more solo nights, still a comfortable scene. As well bar seating is available that still has visibility to the stage if you don't want to be completely in the mix. Recommended experience!“

We ordered fried chicken wings, catfish, salisbury steak, mash potatoes, greens, Hoppin’ John, macaroni and cheese, potato salad and ribs. We were pleased with everything, each item had its distinctive flavor, everything was well seasoned and prices were reasonable. This place deserves a visit!! To enter the restaurant, walk into the apartment building and follow down the stairs into the banquet room.Parking: There is no lot but there are plenty of places within walking distance where you can find free parking. No one is going to ticket you if you want to use a lot immediately in the area for take out.“

“The guys were so friendly and professional. My food didn’t take long. I just saw that they were open and decided to give it a try.I had the shrimp n grits and it was FIRE!!!!!! The potatoes looked a bit on the dark side but they were not burnt and tasted good. It wasn’t overly seasoned. My grits tho! They were creamy with a sweet taste. “YMH feels like home when you walk through the door. Always greeting by the owners upon arrival. My family’s favorite BBQ restaurant. Check out their food; you’re getting your moneys worth! I’ve inserted a picture of their rib dinner with 3 sides and cornbread. The meal comes with 2 sides, but their food is so good that I get extra. There’s genuine love in this restaurant while they’re preparing your food. Also, if you ever have an issue with your food, they are open minded and handle constructive criticism in a very professional manner. “This is my favorite comfort food place in Pittsburgh. They have amazing seasoning, I recommend asking for some on the fries as well. The wings and catfish are my favorites from here, but I also like their other dishes like the meatball panini. Also the coleslaw is some of the best I’ve had. I don’t live in Pittsburgh anymore but every time I go back I order food from here. They also have homemade desserts which are great, the chocolate brownie is my favorite but my girlfriend likes the Oreo cheesecake. The owners are also extremely nice and will accommodate your order as best they can. If you like comfort food and you are in Pittsburgh you must try K&T’s!“

“We were visiting from Texas for our son’s hockey team playoffs and hosted a team lunch. Found Vickey’s - and am so happy we did. Such friendly people, they let me sample some sides, guided me through how much to order, and everyone loved the food. Really reasonable prices too. Grilled chicken was incredible, the pound cake was spectacular. We also got the ribs (fall off the bone), pulled pork (they threw in slider buns), mac n cheese, coleslaw, collared greens, corn bread, sweet potato pie and cobbler. The feast was amazing and since we were at an Airbnb we didn’t have enough plates - so the person who delivered our food actually drove back with more plates. We are so grateful to have found Vickey’s and had them cater a memorable and delicious bbq lunch party! Thank you - from the entire Texas Tigers hockey team.“

“Visiting from out of state, we went for the Rivers Of Steel industry tour then wanted lunch. Got the Chicken and Waffle and some pies. Generous 4 pieces of boneless chicken, lightly breaded and fried, moist and tasty. Waffle was a waffle. Cash only; they could probably get more business if they accepted credit cards. Located in the basement of the the Nyia Page Community Center, which is the old First Presbyterian Church. The double doors have a mural pf Aunt Cheryl painted on them; otherwise there is little signage and you might drive right by the place and not spot it.Update: the pies were good, had the peach and sweet potato.“
