First rate setting (renovated bank interior manages to be stunning and yet cozy). Second rate sushi (grocery store quality, octopus like shoe leather, fake 'seafood legs' in a pricey sashimi combo). Third rate cocktails (bland flavors, very obviously watered down, even the all-liquor drinks).

To be fair, the gyoza was excellent, and the ramen was also good. But 75% of the entrees are sushi, and so the hot items are quite limited in variety. Makes it hard to a give good score for the food overall. Service was fine, friendly and efficient.

Watering down your booze to save a few pennies by cheating your customers (while charging top dollar for the drinks just to add insult to injury) is not a minor matter. It speaks volumes about what kind of rotten business ethics lie underneath the glamor of the high ceilings, restored architectural details, and oddly French name.

Won't be back.

Food was amazing. Service was friendly and timely. The atmosphere there is amazing. The building used to be a bank, and the establishment embraces the history there. Only downside is the price of the food.

The first thing that appeals to you is the character of the restaurant. They took an old bank and turned it into a respectable Japanese cuisine. Food is very well prepared. Menu items had a strong variety. One other thing that I’ve really appreciated is how much the staff enjoy working there and are proud of their facility.

I would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice chic place to eat out or an evening of good take out.

Very cool building but little busy with chachkies. Service (Julian) was absolutely delightful! Food left something to be desired unfortunately, lacking spice/seasoning and noodles felt overcooked.

Great food, reasonable prices, and a beautiful repurposing of a historic building.

Way overpriced for what you get. They ran out of pho. I didn't know it was possible for Asian food to not be seasoned but there was zero flavor.

Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. Food looked good and tasted good. Service was very poor. No hostess to greet us. Stood at door for several minutes. Three employees greeted us but no one sat us despite having a reservation. Drinks were watered down, my wife’s drink arrived first, mine arrived 15 minutes later. My dinner arrived ten minutes before my wife’s. No one followed up to ask if drinks or food was good. Line of dirty glasses on the bar. Server was friendly but not trained well. Poor guy looked like a chicken with his head cut off.

My wife loves sushi...... So, for a celebration of her retirement, (42 years with American Airlines) I took her for a surprise dinner at Le Resto. We've never been there before and were pleasantly surprised. The setting is in a restored old bank building/lobby that is full of marble and high ceilings. There is a piano in one corner, and a fake fireplace in the other. The Bar must be 100' long. There are three giant vaults with one being converted into a dining area. The food was fantastic (we both traveled internationally, and have eaten on all four continents) The service superb. (Thank you Julian!) The ambiance great. The experience excellent..... What a hidden gem, in of all places, downtown New Castle! We WILL return!

I admit, I went during a Halloween event they were having. There was a buffet and I didn’t order any custom dishes.
It took me a while to get my drink, although the woman was pretty nice She unfortunately struggled to communicate.
The way everything was decorated was really cool though!
The food at the buffet was really disappointing, I’m not sure if I will be returning to this location.

Wow! This was such a cool spot! We heard about this place through my parents and picked here for a dinner night with them, and we were super impressed. Such a neat atmosphere with being in an old bank, and the food was incredible! The only thing is - dress warm because it is a bit chilly, but overall it was excellent!
