I would like to say that my family and I have been to Mays on Butler Ave numerous times with amazing service today 11/9/24 did not follow suit. We walked in and I didn’t recognize the person working as one that we have interacted with before. The other ladies are always super friendly and welcoming. Today we were ignored at first but I understand people are busy. When we were waited on we told her how many donuts we wanted and it was made obvious we were an inconvenience. I asked her if she was having a bad day as I have dealt with the public and know that not everyone is kind. She said she wasn’t having a bad day. I wish we would have left at that point I don’t desire to give my business to someone who acts so incredibly rude. I’m pretty sure we will not be back even though the donuts are my son’s absolute favorites. I read other reviews and see this is an ongoing problem. Your customers are supporting small businesses and we do not deserve to be treated like she did today.

We just moved here a couple of years ago. I recently looked for a local Mom & Pop Shop for donuts, because Dunkin' ain't it when it comes to donuts. Their donuts are "meh" at best. Found this place.
Wonderuly nice lady helped me. Asked me, "How many?" when I walked in. I said, "I don't know!" We both laughed. I only planned on getting 3-4. Ended up getting a dozen, because everything looked so good, plus a huge cinnamon roll. Saw some donuts that looked like glazed chocolate, but the lady informed me those were actually a glazed blueberry, to which I replied, "Even better." One of my favorite donuts is the blueberry cake with the simple glaze.
Every single donut was pure ecstasy! Shared with three other adults in the house. The donuts disappeared really fast.
I definitely will be coming back for more.
The only thing I could recommend, is bacon donuts, aka, a maple bar with two strips of bacon on top. I haven't even seen one since I lived in Washington State, so not sure if this is a West Coast thing I know it sounds weird, but they are really good.

I live in an assisted living facility in the Cleveland Ohio area and one of our residents has a daughter living in New Castle. Recently she drove up to visit her father and brought a dozen of MAY'S DONUTS. They were OUTSTANDING - especially the glazed ones. If I had a car and a valid driver's license, I would be a regular customer! Larry

Older woman behind the counter is INSUFFERABLE. I’ve never been more uncomfortable at a shop, my family will never spend another dime in that place.

These are single-handedly the best donuts we've ever had. The fritters and any kind of donut are a win.
