I am absolute favorite restaurant do you want to go to a place that has great food and it’s all made from scratch then this is the restaurant for you. When I used to work in Newcumberland I must’ve been here every other day if not every can’t wait till this Covid season thing is over and they can re-open the buffet for lunch

I was excited to find this tiny restaurant that serves Bhutanese and Nepalese food, that I had never experienced. It seems to do a booming business in carry-out, although there are a few tables where my family and I dined. We requested water to drink and were given bottles of water (at no extra charge). I also tried lassi, a yogurt drink with my choice of mango. It was very tasty but was served a little too warm for my liking. I chose one of the Bhutanese datsi meals. There was a small bowl filled mostly with chunks of probably the most tender beef I have ever eaten, broccoli and smoked cheese sauce. Red rice was on the side. I added the rice to the bowl to take advantage of every morsel of the sauce. It was delicious. I did not choose the super spicy version and was glad that I didn't, after the server kindly brought me a sample of the spicy sauce. Fiery!! I also ordered a side of bread, that was described as crispy pancake style. It turned out to be small, super thin discs of greasy bread that I did not enjoy. I heard no complaints from the others in my party about their lamb platter and stir fried chicken. We all took home leftovers as we were too full to complete our meals, and I ate mine for breakfast the next day. Of course we were too full to try desserts, although we later found a great ice cream shop around the corner. Service was outstanding. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant when I am in the area.

It so good. So, that typical Bhutanese Ema Datshi test. If you like ema datshi I would definitely recommend this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eaten here 20+ times and I have never been disappointed. The owners and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. If you have never had Bhutanese/Nepalese/Himalayan food the staff can help you pick what would best suit your level of adventurousness. Their specials are always worth trying. As for the regular menu I would personally recommend the Sikam Ema Datsi (Dried pork belly and chili peppers in spicy cheese sauce) or spicy noodles with cheese if you are a spicy food lover. They are proper spicy so pairing with one of their lassi drinks is a win-win. The wai-wai (Crunchy noodle salad mixed with tomatoes, chopped onions, cilantro, bell peppers) is our go-to app but the momos are just as good. They cater to a vegan diet as well and even as a meat-eater we almost always get whatever vegan cheesecake they are cooking up that week. It is just as good if not better than almost any non-vegan cheesecake we have ever had. All in all it is the best restaurant in New Cumberland, nay, all of central PA.

Had a terrible experience at this place during Valentines Day. Ordered 3 days ahead for a Valentines Day Special and spent a lot of money. Called the day prior to move pick up time from 5 to 6 and was notified that they were out of one of our menu items. Instead of calling to tell us, we found out when we called. When I got there at 6pm to pick up the food, I was told that it would be another 30 mins because the kitchen was backed up. I expressed that I lived 30 minutes away and had 2 small children in the car and the person on the phone said there isn't much he can do. After waiting 30 mins, I called the restaurant to ask if the food was ready only to see through the window that the host at the phone rejected my phone calls. Will probably never eat here again. Extremely unprofessional.

Wow...What an experienceThe kewa datsi was like smoked gouda and potatoes (delicous combo)The momos were pretty good, but the spicy dipping sauce was the real star for me, and they paired beautifully. The thali box was a nice complete meal with an interesting mix of flavors, and idk if it normally comes with it, but the one sag pakora I got kind of blew me away. I could eat a whole plate of just those. The rose water pistachio cheesecake was not what I was expecting, maybe don’t get this if you’re craving original cheesecake. But if you want to try something different def try this one out. Super smooth flavor carried by pistachio and notes of black cherry.Mango lassi was ? so good. Not as thick as other mango lassi I’ve had. Didn’t expect it to work with the bubbles, but boy was I wrong

I've never had a bad meal here. Their food is awesome. Lots of gluten free and vegan options plus plenty of choices for meat lovers too. They're following safety protocols and have eco friendly containers. Great local business to support!

Wonderful variety of delicious dishes, desserts, and drinks. Some of our favorites are the shamu datsi, ema datsi, Nepali fries, vegan "cheesecake," Himalayan tea and lassis. Plenty of choices for vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetartians. The owners and staff are friendly and courteous. Every time that we have ordered food from this restaurant during the pandemic, I have noticed that the owners and staff consistently wear face masks properly and the restaurant is clean. Definitely one of our favorite places!

OMG if you haven’t tried them out do it right now. Seriously order right now! I have been going to the new Cumberland location for over a year now and I have yet to find a dish I dislike. Everything is amazing. The owners are super nice! They are also very generous and give back to New Cumberland when ever they can. Great souls make amazing food! Check them out!!! I also recommend the spicy noodles, the milk tea, and the cheesecake! I also love the chicken dashi and Jasha Maroo. But seriously go now! You won’t regret it!

Yak and yeti is our all time favorite restaurant in the Harrisburg area. The owners are the nicest people and their food is amazing, you can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of food the make. We can’t recommend it enough!

We placed an order right when they opened at 5. My husband and I got there about 20 minutes later. The lady with the braids at the front was on the phone but signaled she would be right with us. About 5 minutes later she said they were working on ours and to give it another 7 minutes. We said that’s fine. So then some times passes and the lady whom I believe was the owner checked us out but said it would be another 10 minutes or so. Leading us to believe they didn’t actually start our order until we got there which is annoying because they could have told us that up front when we called at 5! Before she went back I asked her why gloves weren’t being used during food prep (I could see through their doors) and she responded “we use it on ready to eat foods and they don’t use bare hands when it comes to putting the food on plates/boxing foods. Does that make sense?” I said ok and she went to the back. During a pandemic gloves should be used ALL the time no matter what. You could make someone super sick if your hands aren’t clean. They were really busy I will admit and it was our first time there so we didn’t know to expect. Needless to say at about 6 we got our food and the sweet lady with the braids is the ONLY one I saw with gloves on and handed us our bag of food. My husband had chicken curry and said the chicken was dry the bread we got was really oily the vegan delight was not flavorful at all and the rice was not flavorful and was a super small portion. The owner was overwhelmed and even more when I asked her about the lack of glove usage. We won’t be back.

Great food and service! I haven't been able to get to the area but when I do. I'll look forward to seeing them again. Love this place and the family proprietors.

We've been coming to this restaurant for several years and still the place I pick for our special occasion celebrations. We tried many different dishes and never disappointed. The owner/waitress the best part of this restaurant! She remembers what we like and always so nice and helpful, gives us great suggestions on which dish to try. She even brings dishes for us to try! I love how attentive she is but whomever cooking back in the kitchen is awesome too. Our favorites are Lamb Tahli, Chilli Tofu, Spicy Cheesy Noodles, and Himalayan Fish Fries. Other dishes are scrumptious too.
