They closed but it sounds like they sold the location to another owner; hoping they reopen soon with a similar menu. I loved the Air Monkey and Out of Towner sandwich, as well as their popcorn. Both were about two meals for me, put half in the fridge to have some fresh as brunch and then other part for dinner.

Great local small business helping our town stay relevant. Delicious food is only beat by their desserts. Coffee even better.

Great food and atmosphere! Enjoyed hearing the trains pass by while we are our lunch inside.

We came here for breakfast today! Everyone was very nice and friendly and the food was delicious. Very excited to have a local weekend coffee spot! Keep up the great work!

The paddle wheels are delicious as is the other food, and the outdoor space is awesome for the kids!

Reminiscent of diners. Good selection of interesting breakfast and lunch. Easy brunch place. Homemade cookies and desserts. Good service and friendly staff. Great stopping point on the trail.

Food is superb, whether carnivore or vegan. They take serious care in selection and preparation of everything they do. Love this place as a lunch stop on the NCR!

Our first time at the Rail Trail Cafe and it didn’t disappoint! The food was excellent. I couldn’t stop saying “This is sooooo good!” Great staff also! We’ll definitely be back!

We love this place! We drive out from Towson, MD to visit it - partly for the nostalgia generated by the restaurant being situated in an old train station, and the rail trail just outside. Old train cars outside, in nicely restored condition, amp up the nostalgia. That's only part of the attraction. The food is really good! The kitchen is very efficient: they make the most of the limited space available, and that's reflected in the menu. Don't expect pancakes or waffles for breakfast - they need the space for making great wraps that you won't find anywhere else. I've had the Honest Abe and the Train Wreck - both were delicious. I don't think you can go wrong on anything on the menu. And there's Zeke's coffee, too! Go if you can.

This review has nothing to do with the food. The food is phenomenal, and it’s one of my favorite places. The three stars is due to the service. I ordered online because I know it often takes a while for the food to come (which is fine, I know they are often busy). I brought my family (with two young children excited to eat inside) and asked if I could grab one of the open tables. I was then told that because I completed an online order, they wouldn’t allow me to take the table because they are for guests who order at the restaurant. Not online orders. So I had to go out and eat with my family in my car since it was cold out, with my toddlers in their cars seats. That policy is simply absurd.

We were walking from Freeland up the NCR/Heritage Trail for an afternoon leg stretcher. We stopped into the Cafe for coffee/tea and pumpkin scones. The train was giving rides up the track and other engines were nearby to check out. Sweet spot, I will be back.

My dad and I stopped in after a bike ride. Unfortunately it was 3:05 and the kitchen had just closed. But they still had some vegan quinoa black bean chili that was phenomenal. We also got some coffee that tasted nice after a chilly and a little rainy bike ride. The owner also was kind enough to give us two oatmeal raisin cookies at no charge. I highly recommend this cafe based on soup and service alone.

Three of us dined and had lunch/breakfast. Small, cozy and friendly service. Small menu, but plenty of choices and all were great tasting. Nice atmosphere as we sat on the rail line.
