New Holland Family Restaurant is known for its delicious local fare and a varied menu. A highlight of the menu is the "ham balls" special, which consists of minced ham formed into large balls with pineapple sauce. The dish comes with a side of "pineapple filling" that resembles bread pudding with pineapple. The restaurant also offers customizable sides, such as their yummy potato cakes, baked corn, broccoli salad and strawberry jello pretzel salad. The complementary homemade rolls are a standout. The restaurant has plenty of parking, though sometimes a little tough to find a spot during busy times, and is wheelchair accessible. The server was as sweet as could be and right on top of things. The restaurant is suitable for families with children, as they offer a variety of children's food. The restaurant is located next to the Comfort Inn and shares the same parking lot, making it a convenient option for travelers. Additional parking can be found in the outdoor mall across Pennsylvania State Route 23 East and West from the Comfort Inn and New Holland Family Restaurant. Pepper cabbage was a table favorite.
