Yoder's Restaurant & Buffet

Beware of the buffet! My boyfriend and I came here at lunch for the buffet and were extremely disappointmented in the food quality and selection. We were seated right away and the server was prompt and responsive. However, the buffet itself offered either food that was bland, overcooked, or fried. The salmon was so overcooked and dry that it was difficult to cut. There was a noodle and chicken casserole with noodles disintegrating into the dish. There were very few cooked vegetable options with the broccoli/cauliflower combo being tasteless and overcooked. Items did not appear fresh and appeared to either be canned or previously frozen. They had an ice cream machine and the soft serve was good at least. On top of the underwhelming food taste and selection, a credit card transaction fee is charged anytime a card is used as payment. It makes the restaurant appear even cheaper with no focus on freshness or customer satisfaction. We will never be back. There are alternative buffets in close proximity with comparable prices.

The very best buffet around! Beats the other popular places hands down. Food was hot and full. Wide variety plus a grille area. Pricing was also far better then others! Great place!

6th time here in 3 years. 3 times service was good. 3 times very lacking. Tonight the server got my order incorrect and her response was very condescending. When I shared another observation, she let me know I was incorrect, again condescending. I talked with a manager and left. I myself provide a service in the local community and I take pride in providing excellent service
I believe in being kind and go out of my way to make my clients comfortable. I will find another restaurant to visit when I'm in the local vicinity. You know what makes this a sad review? The food is pretty good. The only thing my server needed to do is provide drinks. Three times they didn't get THAT right.

The dinning room just felt a little institutional. We were in one of the side rooms. The main area does seem a little nicer.

I was really looking forward to this place, especially since the Airbnb host recommended it to me the first night visiting PA. I deducted the first star since the food selection is limited, especially for people with dietary restrictions. I really did not get to do the buffet since I have a shellfish, seafood, pork, dairy allergy. I deducted the second star since I ordered the sirloin steak meal expecting to receive a steak. I was thrown off to receive a hamburger instead; when I asked the waitress, I was informed that this restaurant does not serve steak. The third star was deducted since the waffle my grandma got was mushy and soggy. Otherwise, the staff was a helpful and polite bunch of people. Overall, the staff made the experience worthwhile; otherwise, I realistically would not recommend this place, nor would my family.

Have visited two times so far and have not been disappointed with the quality of the food and service. One of the few places open on Sunday.
Highly recommend it for Sunday brunch. Have not tried any other times so far but based on what I’ve experienced with brunch I wouldn’t hesitate to try other times. I like the grill sections for omelette and pancakes too.

Excellent as usual. Overall, very good food quality for a Buffet (note, you can order off the menu if you don't want Buffet.
