SUCH a fantastic dining experience. Not only is the farm beautiful and the dining space unique, the food was beyond amazing. We couldn't believe the level of care, the complexity of flavors, the seasonality of the menu. Honestly one of my all-time favorite dining experiences. This place is a hidden gem.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Inn last night. We had several plates we don't usually make at home (duck and haddock) and they were perfectly prepared. I love the open serving window to the kitchen where you can watch the chefs hard at work. A really first rate meal. The only thing missing for me was some flowers on the table.

Barley Sheaf is a special place with good-great food and a wonderful atmosphere. The waitstaff is excellent. The reason that I couldn't give 5 stars is that one of the meals ordered was overcooked, and so one of our party's plate had to go back AND a replacement made. A dilemma-let 3 plates go cold so we could all eat together or one person sits and waits.

Brunch was exceptional. Best sausage and gravy ever. The eggs in the Benedict dishes were perfect. Dessert was wonderful. Service from Joanne was great. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Had a fabulous experience last night for my mother's birthday! they even printed out a custom menus that said happy birthday at the top which was such a nice touch. The food was phenomenal and if you were in the area and looking for a great meal, look no further. Simple yet elegant, this was hands-down the best meal we had while visiting the area (we were in new Hope for our Anniversary Getaway weekend) Also, being our anniversary, Barley Sheaf personalized it onto our menu, which was a very nice touch. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. We will absolutely be returning as well as recommending to friends and family in the future. (We only visited for the Restaurant, so cannot speak to the Inn portion)

If you order from each of the 3 courses, the amount of food is a little too much. I would have skipped one of the courses. Food was excellent and innovative. Desserts left a little to be desired. Would recommend and would return.

Good food and drinks are to be found at this nice staple of beautiful downtown Holicong, near New Hope. Right now they have an all - new ? nice recipe for their delicious ? duckling, made with Star ? Anise. Other fine offerings as well at this quaint neighborhood B.Y.O.B .

We have been dining there for 5 years. Food was always very good. The new head chef is exceptional. In addition to the food being exceptional the presentation was as well. The best meal we have ever had at Barley Sheaf. Oh, and the service was also exceptional as always.

Have dined at barley Sheaf numerous times. Everything is usually excellent. This past experience the food was excellent but the service was lacking. Had to ask for more coffee. There was no checking on refills. Had to wait 15 minutes for dessert after table was cleared. Had to ask were our deserts were. Even then it took some time to arrive. Hope this was a one off. Generally the service was very slow.

This was our first time dining here and it was exceptional. Waiting for our table in the lovely living room surrounded by antiques and browsing through photo albums was a memorable experience. The food was exquisite. My husbands lamb and my scallops were cooked to perfection. We loved watching it being cooked by the talented chefs. We will definitely come again!

We were a party of four people and have dined here a number of times. The food overall was very good with some exceptions: Two of us ordered the foie gras which came as a sandwich of fruit either side of the foie gras. The dish was very sweet with NO foie gras flavor. My companion is French and loves foie gras in its many forms. The dish was a disaster, if called foie gras it should be foie gras forward. I ordered the chicken with hen of the woods mushrooms and white meso jus. The dish came without the mushrooms and with no meso taste in the sauce - my dining companions confirmed this. The server made a rude comment about me not going to like anything presented to me. The dish should have been taken back to the kitchen to be re-plated. The chef designs dishes to be presented in a specific format. A plate of mushrooms was brought to me - again the fault of the server. The chicken was perfectly cooked. When initially describing the menu, the server stated that the striped bass came as a filet surrounded by a fish mousse (a la quenelle?). My wife ordered this dish and there was no fish mousse. She said that the fish was delicious. I was the only one ordering dessert and it was provided free because of the problems we had encountered. I like this restaurant because it is BYOB and the service charge is added automatically, as in many other countries. I understand that the menu was recently changed. However, the kitchen staff and servers should be aware of what a dish should look like and no dish should be presented with a main ingredient missing.

Absolutely wonderful meal from start to finish. We have eaten here many times and it's always terrific. The scallops were the best I have ever had. The fact that it is a BYOB is also a plus because it is pricey.

This place has become one of our favorite go-to places for dinner in the area. Always anxious to see what creative menu the Chef comes up with, sample new tastes and enjoy the presentation ration of the food. The service is so top notch from the minute you enter the old farm house with the host taking your BYOB bottle from you and putting it on ice if needed. A great value for the quality of food, service and ambience. Also amazing Brunch!
