This is a one man show and Robert knows how to cook, produces a quality meal, and provides a 5-star customer experience. “My first time, Went for lunch. I have been around many Indian restaurants. I must say that this place deserves the best rating for food and service. For many years, my wife and I have cherished the experience of walking into the listening room at John & Peter’s and being completely swept away by the talent on their small but mighty stage. The performances—whether original songs or thoughtfully chosen covers—are truly special. This is real local music at its finest.

When I say local, I mean musicians playing straight from the heart, purely for the love of the craft. These are soulful songs you don’t hear just anywhere, shared by artists whose only goal is to give their gift to the room. Yes, they’re paid—but never enough for what they give back to the audience.

Beyond the music, the food is consistently excellent. From snacks to burgers and everything in between, everything we’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. And for those looking to relax and enjoy the night even more, John & Peter’s also offers a full bar with a great selection of adult refreshments.

Another part of the magic is that you truly never know who might walk through those coolest-of-the-cool stage doors. Surprise appearances and unexpected moments are just part of what makes John & Peter’s so special.

It’s not often that a customer feels compelled to thank a business publicly, but I’ve felt drawn to write this for weeks now. My hat is off to the entire John & Peter’s team. Thank you for being such an important part of a beautiful community and for providing such incredible music.

A special mention goes to the Wednesday night “Invitational Jam.” This is a gathering of musicians from all styles who come together to create something truly unique. It’s definitely not Top 40—but instead the songs many of us grew up with and rarely get to hear live. If you can make it to one of these nights, you’ll witness and hear an unforgettable experience.”

“The atmosphere is lovely and the place is nice. The borscht was very tasty, but the sea buckthorn tea turned out to be weak in flavor and almost tasteless. Still, it was nice to come across Ukrainian cuisine in an unexpected place. Also, they forgot to bring my dessert and only remembered when I asked for the check.”

“This place is great! We were staying at the new hope inn and suites and this restaurant is attached to the hotel. They are much more open in the summer with outdoor seating and a beautiful atmosphere. We had drinks at the bar and ordered food right there. They are open till 12am. The service was excellent. The bartender was friendly and Dietra was so cool she brought us our food fresh and hot and was a pleasure to talk to. We will definitely come back in the summer.”

“The Starbucks in New Hope is the Starbucks of all Starbucks, and it’s not just because of the coffee or the food it’s because of the people. I usually try to support small local coffee shops whenever I can, but the staff here is what keeps bringing me back. Every single employee I’ve interacted with has been kind, attentive, hardworking, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they truly care about their customers and about creating a positive atmosphere. In a world where customer service often feels rushed or impersonal, this team stands out in the best way possible. They consistently make my day better, and that level of care deserves recognition.”

“Coffee bar located inside the Ferry Market in downtown New Hope. I found the coffee good, and they have a small selection of muffins, croissants, cookies, biscotti, and some premade breakfast sandwiches. They also sell the whole coffee beans and tea.

There is some indoor and outdoor seating. I had no issue bringing my dog in with me to order and then sitting outside. I came back several times during my stay in the area.”

“On Sunday, November 23, 2025 I became reacquainted with an old college classmate and roommate of mine from Cal State, San Bernardino who came all the way from San Diego to visit friends of his located in NJ. We drove into New Hope for dinner and chose the Havana New Hope because we heard it was a great restaurant. Well...the food was terrific...and the service by your wonderful and beautiful server, Harley, made our visit one to remember. I plan to return with my family in the very near future to see a play at the Bucks County Playhouse....and go and finish our stay with a meal at Havana....be sure to let Harley know how good she was last night... ~ J Michael Baran”

“The food is excellent. The wine selection leaves a little bit to be desired, but our bartender’s knowledge in cocktails and wines compensated for that. His suggestions fit our tastes, paired with our dinner, and didn’t break the bank. KUDOS! We had table service for our dinner, and the server was very sweet which continued the tone set at the bar. In fact, the bartender even checked in during our meal to make sure we were enjoying the dinner and wine pairing. After dinner we returned to the bar, and another bartender took care of us. He was just as kind, and welcoming. The two of them are a great duo, and made the experience so much fun. Watch bright personalities, entertaining to watch, and wonderfully attentive. Didn’t catch the first one’s name, but he seemed to be the heart of the bar. Thanks for making us feel like we were home. Can’t wait to make this our weekend ritual!”

“On Saturday , during the Christmas holiday weekend, I visited New Hope, to soak in the festive downtown atmosphere twinkling lights, holiday shoppers, and that cozy small-town charm along the Delaware River. After strolling Main Street, I stopped at El Guajillo Mexican early dinner, craving something hearty and flavorful.
The place has a vibrant, welcoming vibe with colorful decor and a small outdoor patio (though it was too chilly to sit outside). Service was friendly and quick, even on a busy holiday Saturday.

I ordered the burrito bowl and enchiladas, and fresh guacamole to start. The guac was excellent creamy fresh made in mexican style, chunky, and bright with lime and cilantro, served with warm tortilla chips. The burrito bowl was generous: fluffy rice, beans etc, fresh pico, cheese, and sour cream—all well-seasoned without being overwhelming.
The enchiladas came smothered in a rich red sauce with melted cheese, alongside refried beans and rice that were spot-on.

Portions were huge, prices reasonable for the area, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. It's a solid spot for Mexican food amid New Hope's holiday buzz—I'd rate it 4 ish stars and recommend it for a satisfying break from the festivities if mexican food is craved.”

“My nine-year-old accompanied me for lunch, and as my nine-year-old is a foodie, experience was fantastic. If your child is not a foodie, they probably would not be excited by the menu. I did not see any chicken fingers anywhere. 😉”
