I ended up having to cancel my order because I waited almost half an hour for a simple turkey sandwich order - while everyone else who ordered takeout after I did got their orders. They hadn’t even started my sandwich half an hour after I had placed my order, so it was no loss to them. They seemed to be able to make everyone else’s food but mine. I left the restaurant a very hungry pregnant woman and found other food in the area.

Cute Café in Lambertville, small menu (mostly sandwiches, burgers, soup). I had the burger and my husband had the Buttermilk sandwich... Both solid choices.
The cafe is small but inviting and there's dedicated parking outside, FYI. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Would definitely return.

Hands down the best place to get breakfast/brunch in the area. The service is quick, the menu is creative and delicious, and the restaurant is very family friendly (fruit like grapes automatically arrives chopped up and ready for hungry toddlers!). Love, love, love Chive!

This humble restaurant hides great eating. We had the BLT with egg, fried chicken on croissant, and lamb sausage sandwich and all of them excelled our expectations. All of them had surprising and delightful twists on familiar flavor profiles and were clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The prices are also very affordable, making for a stress free brunch.

I don’t review unless I really feel like it is warranted. After my probably 50th visit, I feel like this review is overdue. I frequented Chive when it was in Lahaska and was crushed when it closed. Finding out it had only moved to (an even better location in) Lambertville was a huge relief. I have met friends and brought coworkers for countless lunches, then arranged for my family (a party of 16 that day) to have brunch together there. In one visit, it became a family favorite. My siblings and their kids are constantly meeting there, and we have gathered several times as a group of 12-17. Chive has never failed to impress. The best food you can find for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, and the friendliest, best service always. If you’re not eating at Chive, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. Get there!

Dietary restrictions: We have gluten and dairy allergies. They work with us, and no one has ever gotten sick from a mistake or cross contamination.
Parking: Parking lot is a bit small but a great option for off street (about a dozen spaces). Street parking all over the neighborhood with a cute and safe walk from every angle.
Kid-friendliness: Toms of kids ages 3-21 in my fam, and one on the spectrum. They accommodate their needs quickly and with flexibility.
