As a customer, I did not appreciate waiting for my food and having the owner’s daughter running around, climbing the table and standing with her dirty feet, and trying to reach into my mother’s food. I understand this is a small business but this is no way to deliver customer service. She tried climbing on top of me and was just a disturbance for the entire time I was there

Went in for a quick bite of food and was extremely concerned. The dining room was very dirty and disorganized. The kitchen was very unsanitary; there was open cleaning products by the food, the cutting area and grills had not been cleaned in a long time and the overall kitchen was grimy.
The cook’s 2 year old daughter was running around on the floor, grabbing on to us and not being supervised by her mother. The daughter at one point picked up a dirty rag off the floor in the kitchen, wiped her face with it, and then threw it back on the floor as the mother walked over the rag.
We ended up paying for our food and immediately discarding out of concerns of food poisoning.

Filthy. Food all over the floor… we walked out. If it’s a 4.8 then we didn’t stay to verify it.
Amazing al pastor tacos!

I was in the area and found this restaurant on a map. The location is in the back of a courtyard so it is easy to miss. The owner was very nice. She took our order and cooked our food quickly. The tamales were excellent and the tacos were with homemade tortillas. This is exactly the type of business you should feel good supporting!

Cute small place just off the beaten path. Tasty food, fresh. I always enjoy a Coke in a glass bottle with Mexican food and the have it. Somewhat simple and rustic atmosphere and definitely Spanish speaking if that matters to you.
Parking: We didn't want to pay $25 to park in a community parking lot just to stop for 30 minutes to have lunch. Found a free street spot 3 blocks away and walked which was fine. We we there in town at an off time so beware of parking challenges if it is crowded.

The owner welcomed us and prepared the food fresh. We had barbacoa quesadillas and tacos carne asada. Both were delicious, but the barbacoa quesadillas were so good that we ordered a second plate. This place can be easily missed, its set back. Go find it. Top notch authentic Mexican food.

Fonda Lipa is truly a hidden gem in New Hope. If you are looking for a delicious, authentic, and affordable meal, this is the spot for you. The woman who runs this establishment, is truly a super hero, managing tables, cooking all the food homemade, and providing excellent service, all at the same time! The tortillas are even handmade fresh in house :) Tasted like home. Tell your friends, support a local business, grab some tacos at Fonda Lipa!

Had lunch with my wife here recently and the tacos were amazing! We shared barbacoa and al pastor. Staff were super friendly, will definitely be going back! Look for the sign and head down the alley to the cute bungalow in the back!

I had the best tamales I've ever eaten here. They were so fresh and soft. They weren't dry like other places make tamales. I got an extra order to go.
