Dinner at Stella is a very nice overall experience. I've been there several times; most recently, for small group dinner parties of six people. The service is exceptional and the servers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful without being intrusive; the menu is unique and the food is always flavorful; the ambience and decor are beautiful, and the moderate noise level allows you to have easy conversation. You pay for all of this with moderately high prices, but it is well worth it. I will be back!
It was most wonderful to, after a year and a half, re-visit STELLA. Absolutely terrific in every way. Ashley, our waitress, was so wonderful, kind, professional, knowledgable, and made the experience even better. Food was delicious! BRAVO, STELLA!
My wife and I arrived 15 minutes early for our reservations at 6pm and were immediately seated. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was exceptional. We split the apple/gouda salad, then she had the scallops and I had the duck breast. Both were delicious, but there could have been one or two more scallops with hers. Dessert was a black forest chocolate ganache with homemade whipped cream and cherries. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Highly recommended.
Good food for New Year's Eve. Oysters prepared nicely. Great pasta and lobster bouillabaisse. Server was very very attentive and knowledgeable Very good band added to the evening
Always stop here when in town. Always perfect đ

Need to rethink about returning. The parking situation is a $30.00 disaster.

My birthday weekend at Stella and the Ghost Light Inn was supposed to be relaxing. Instead, it turned into a chaotic, money-wasting circus that I wouldnât wish on anyone.
Dinner at Stella started off on the wrong foot thanks to our waiter, Brendan, who greeted us with all the enthusiasm of someone being forced to work unpaid overtime. I was surprised cause by yesterdayâs social media post â Brendan was an exceptional waiterâŠ
The entrées tasted good, but for $45, I expected something more substantial than an appetizer posing as a main course.
After my husband had two Stella beers and I had two cocktails â which for the record, wouldnât get a toddler tipsy â we attempted to order dessert and a final drink to end my birthday dinner. Instead, we were abruptly cut off with zero explanation. No conversation. No reasoning. Nothing. We werenât even sitting for more than 1 hour. And when my husband asked why we were being cut off, things escalated in a way I still cannot believe: staff told us they were going to call the cops on him. Over asking a question. It was unbelievably hostile and unnecessary â and in my opinion, wildly unprofessional. Thanks, Brendan.
But the disaster didnât end there. The valet situation pushed this whole debacle into surreal territory.
We entrusted them with our brand-new BMW. When it was returned, the back door window had been left wide open overnight in the middle of snow and rain storm â soaking the interior, the seats, the panels, everything. What made it worse wasnât the damage itself but the response. The hotel and valet staff offered no explanation, just confusion and hollow apologies that felt more like they were annoyed we even asked. We ultimately filed a police report because someone had to take the situation seriously, and it certainly wasnât going to be them.
In my personal experience, this was one of the worst hospitality failures Iâve ever encountered. If you value your celebration, your sanity, or your vehicle, do yourself a massive favor, avoid Stella and the Ghost Light Inn entirely. They managed to turn a simple birthday weekend into a 24-hour disaster.

Very high end. Excellent food and service. Beautiful interior and exterior views. Especially at night. I'm not a fan of charging for parking though. Really good food. We ate at a wedding function buffet. All appitizers were delicious. Bar service was great.

Restaurantji Recommends
Bad place to celebrate an event!! They will take the food from the table, before you can enjoy it...
The food was good there, however the service people have to be retrained in customer service skills. Very rude people especially the manager

My wife and I visited Stella this past weekend and we were genuinely impressed from start to finish. The food was excellent â fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real care. The service was just outstanding: friendly, attentive, and professional without ever being overbearing. The ambiance created a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere that made the entire experience even better.
On top of all that, the prices were extremely fair for the quality of what you get. Itâs rare to find a place that hits all the marks â great food, great service, great environment, and great value â but this restaurant absolutely does. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Stella in New Hope. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality and portion sizes, but the service is what truly ruined the evening. Our table of ten was enjoying a celebration when the manager approached and said, âIâm so glad youâre having fun, but everyone here is complaining.â The comment was unnecessarily rude and instantly changed the tone of the night. Because of that interaction, we canceled our entrĂ©esâsomething the staff seemed more than willing to allowâand we left. For the price point and reputation, I expected a far more professional and welcoming atmosphere. I will not be returning.

The food was outstanding. We actually ate on the outside deck because they have fantastic heaters and are able to keep it open all year round. Eating outside overlooking the Delaware river was over the top fantastic.
