My wife and I drove an hour after seeing someone’s post on FB about Common Oven Pizza. We ordered the Red Sauce pizza with Pepperoni and House Sausage. We were completely blown away by this pizza. The sauce didn’t overwhelm the basil, homemade mozzarella cheese, or the toppings. It was a perfect blend of flavors. Then there was the crust. Perfection! The absolute best part for me. We will be back without hesitation. We highly recommend Common Oven.
Pound for pound, one of the best places you can get food in Pittsburgh. Their cheesesteak with the cheese sauce and sesame sourdough is to die for. Their Vodka pie was excellent, and if you're around on Sundays you have to get their sourdough cinnamon rolls. Best I've had. It's built into Strange Roots so you can sit outside and have a beer, and enjoy great food for reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had here. Even the bagels at the local coffee joint.
Big fan of the choc chip cookies ?

Top 3 pizza in Pgh. Absolutely incredible bread of all types, pizza crust, hoagie rolls, bagels, pepperoni rolls. Best cheese steak in Pgh. Sunday's they have all sorts of bakery things to go like bagels, bread loaves, and pepperoni rolls.
This place is inside Strange Roots Brewing.

Finally made it to Common Oven. If you know me you know I love my crispy pizza much to the dismay to Pittsburgh’s love of thick and doughy pizza.
This pizza is solidly my #2 in the area, only falling to Rockaway, knocking A Slice of New York to 3rd and driftwood right behind them. Not only was it light, crispy and airy, it was done in a wood fired oven, home made mozzarella and sauce, everything about it was high quality and done right.
However! This cheesesteak rocketed to the best I’ve had in Pittsburgh. The bread was perfect, the sauce and steak were perfect, onions were perfect. It was an 8.9 for me for sure.
My wife has driftwood as #1 for the city but said this tied it for sure. I want to try all the things. Don’t miss out on this spot!

Awesome pizza! Reminds me of real east coast style either a great char on the crust from the Real Wood fired oven. Weekends have fresh baked breads, bagels and huge cinnamon rolls! Really love this place - with they were closer!?❤️
Stopped by today and tried multiple sandwiches and pizzas. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was outstanding. My personal favorite was the Grandma Pie ❤️. Highly highly recommend!!
I got some everything bagels on Sunday. Wow, they were realllly impressive and priced right. I've also gotten the cheesesteak before and it was incredible, but a tad expensive. The pizza can compete with Gus Francos and Voodoo but might not beat them out.

Amazing food. The seeded bread rolls are so good! Their hoagie game is unmatched. Highly recommend the roasted pork and broccoli rabe hoagie. Make sure to stop in on a Sunday and get fresh baked goods too.

The service, food, and atmosphere here are all amazing. I ordered the White Pie and was not disappointed. The dough was just right with an array of great toppings. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't add extra cheese to the order. Other than that, we will definitely be back here to try more food to review and enjoy the fact that this is close to us. 10/10

A ghost kitchen in the back of a very homie bar, the food is delicious, and I'm kind of hoping that it has sister locations in Ohio. Although I'm not holding my breath since it appears to be a small business operation

Our 1st time there was a complete bust. Im very surprised they sent it out like this. The pizza was burnt. Like black burnt. It's all you could taste. I'm not talking a little bit over cooked either. I know with wood ovens it can get dark but this was burnt. The breadsticks were good though. I'll give them that.
