i hate leaving negative reviews for small business but i don’t know how this place is even open or has the reviews it has. i’ve tried this place multiple times and have never been happy. decided to give it another try last night because it was close and needed something last minute. 30 min wait, when i got there i stood at the counter for 20 minutes before someone even noticed me. the tea i got out of the fridge was 2 months expired and had stuff floating in it, pizza was watery and 2 slices were missing cheese completely. and their dog was walking around the kitchen and begging customers for food. absolutely ridiculous. the only nice thing i can say is the ladies who work there are very nice and welcoming other than that, not worth it.

This is a ma & pa kind of place that just makes you feel at home when you enter. All of the staff are wonderful and struck me as people who are just genuinely kind hearted. The inside is kept clean and neat, homemade cookies are displayed perfectly through an old school diner case which complimented the atmosphere well. The food was absolutely delicious. The personal Stromboli was baked to perfection and was a huge portion for such a low price. The cheesesteak sub is a new favorite and easily one of the best I have ever had. The meat was deliciously seasoned, the sub was well packed, the cheese melty, the fried onions blended perfectly. Even the BLT was done well. The pumpkin rolls were mouth watering and a sweet savory finish to top off a delicious dinner. I cannot say enough good things about this unexpected gem. From its atmosphere and people to its seemingly homemade recipes and prices, I can see why this shop has been around for so long. I only wish we had known about it sooner. I highly recommend a stop in for some food and good conversation if you're in the area.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu options available and the staff was so kind to kiddoWheelchair accessibility: Easily Accessible

After a day on the road and unloading a moving truck, my wife and I were absolutely exhausted. We decided to try Cedar Valley because they were within 10 minutes of the new house. We walked in and there were only a few booths. The place had only one other customer and we were greeted by the owner and her sister. We told them about our exhausting day and they told us to sit down and they would take care of us. That is exactly what they did. I'm a big guy and would not fit into the booths, so they brought an office chair out and put it at the end of one of the booths. We ordered a large pizza, which was delicious! While it was being cooked, they sat out in the small dining area and talked to us the entire time. What a delight they are. Two of the nicest people I have ever met. We were so tired, and we told them that we were staying in basically an empty house. When we went to pay, they brought out 6 homemade cookies, which were delicious, and a quart of homemade vegetable soup and gave it to us. They wouldn't hear of taking money for the soup and cookies. I was just overwhelmed by the kindness of these two ladies. Oh yeah, the pizza was delicious and we can't wait to try other items from their menu.

Best "little town" pizza shop! Love Joanne and the rest of the crew! I might be biased, I grew up on this pizza, but it's what I crave and want when I want a pizza!

The pizza that I got was good ?. I have a couple other pizzerias closer to me and I like them a little better but this was tasty. Really has the old country charm and a small family owned feel. They aren't my favorite but they are good and I hope more people try them out.Kid-friendliness: They have ice cream, candy and snacks available as well as presumably home made cookies in a family friendly old-style dining room

Drove by for years, finally stopped. Had a really good Italian and lived the old school feel. Will be back to try other items.

We stopped here on a whim, we live an hour away and are debating on coming back more than once. It’s an adorable mom& pop place, it looks a little precarious but it’s so worth it, everyone was so nice and it was very reasonably priced. Also 6 stars for the dogs I was able to pet!

People were very nice and food was very good. The dogs made it like at home, highly recommended and they have cookies!!!!

Have been going here since around 1975, when Miss May and Pop-Pop had it, with video rentals back in the day. Moved back into the area and found their daughter Jo Anne had taken over for the family and the food is still awesome! Try the broasted chicken! Subs are great too. Pizza? Oh yeah! There's even a special low price pizza night which goes up each minute after it begins, fun stuff! (You'll have to check out the store to find out which night. Oh, did I mention Hersheys' Icecream and special soft serve flavors all through the summer?... Malts? Uh-huh. I could go on and on. Love this place and the family heritage our neighborhood is proud to have.
