I am not sure what place we went to but not the same as all the raving reviews. We were barely greeted when we walked in. We got country French toast,home fries and pancakes. All three were barely cooked. The pancakes were tan, the homefries had none of that wonderful browned edges. I ate the French toast only because I was hungry, had one small bite of the potatoes they tasted boiled with no flavor. My friend ate some of her pancakes. We were on our way to the auction and although we had not wanted to stand in line we should have waited and eaten there.

My new favorite place to eat (and laugh) in all of western PA. I would say Mr. Ryder was in rare form, but from the looks of the reviews, he's in rare form every time you come. The food is excellent and made with love by his whole family. I was so happy to meet them and we WILL be back! God bless Mr Red 🙏 and his family's restaurant. PS - Ask about his fishing ruler and how he knows men are supposed to make the coffee according to the Bible. 🤣

Always an enjoyable experience. Good and plentiful food at a reasonable price. Red and Jan are old friends. Red will generally keep amused. It's the place to go for breakfast/lunch or dinner.

This is a very great place for a good breakfast and it's way more affordable than its quality suggests in this economy. Who can afford to make good food for a great price in 2024? Apparently Ryder's.
The staff and owner are INCREDIBLY personable. It's obvious they know who their regulars are, and that means they know who aren't their regulars. Some people absolutely love it when they have conversations with the owners and staff, I'm a pretty extroverted guy myself and I can definitely enjoy talking to strangers.
But that's another thing uncommon in 2024. If you like the decor, attitudes, and prices of yesteryear, you should become a new regular at Ryder's. But if you want your dining experience to be strictly business and strictly transactional, maybe McDonald's a couple miles down the road is more your speed.

We always have the breakfast here, because the bacon is ALWAYS so crispy & yummy! My Husband gets the Country French Toast & I usually get the breakfast sandwich, both are so delicious! The service here is always warm & welcoming. The Staff here is out of sight!! You must come visit, sit a spell & say hi! Also, get the bacon!!!

My wife and I both got the roast beef with mashed potatoes coleslaw and green beans everything was good the server was great and she was new food came super fast my wife said the coleslaw was just the way she makes it the mashed potatoes were real and yes the owner goes to say hi to everyone no complaints this was our first time and didn't smell urine or cats some people leave bad reviews just because they are sick in the head and crazy and just like to complain if I would of read their review before I went I might of thought twice but I'm old enough to know don't believe everyone
