Came in on Saturday and food was fresh and delicious! We got the calimari & shrimp appetizer, pizza, and lemoncello cake (which was PHENOMENAL). I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for weeknight dinner, weekend date night, and everything in between!

I don’t know why I’ve been here over 20 times and haven’t written a review with how awesome they are! Actually I do. I want to be able to get a table here. The restaurant itself is cute rustic Italian. And the men making the pizza are actually Italian. I suggest sitting at the counter to watch them make the pies (and listen to the Italian, swoon), it’s a science. The servers are efficient but welcoming. They do not take reservations unless you’re a party of >6. I did hear a cringe convo between a party expected to be seated but the hostess just sat a party of their size. It must have been a mix up, or 2 parties of 6 made reservations at the same time… either way I’d double check they have your reservation name/time a few days before, cause it gets absolutely packed there at dinner time. And rightfully so. This is my favorite pizza in PA I’ve ever tasted, EVER. It’s chewy and a bit charred and sometimes the middle can get a little soupy with the sauce, but I love that. The margarita pizza is my favorite - I could drink their red pizza sauce. It reminds me so much of my grandmas pizza who immigrated from Bari Italy with a family of 5 kids and no English. I love supporting this family owned pizza shop! They have salads and pasta dishes too, with homemade pasta like their father restaurant vecchia osteria. And they’re BYO! I just wish it was easier to get a table, it would quell my anxiety.Parking: Lot across the street is available after the auto shop closes. The restaurant itself is small but there’s only about 6 spots behind their building plus a handicap spot.

Run...don't walk...run to Acqua e Farina for some truly excellent pizza. We went to Acqua e Farina on the recommendation of a friend. The decor is warm, comfortable, and inviting. The room is arranged around a large wood fired oven that dominates the room. We sat at the dining bar that is next to the pizza prep and cooking area. The staff was courteous, accommodating, and efficient. The menu features a range of salads and standard Italian first courses. It also has a number of entrees and pasta dishes, but we'll have to review them in the future. We came for the pizza! We had a Margherita (tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil) and a Contadina (roasted peppers, kalamata olives, eggplant mushrooms, and basil) along with a ceaser salad. The pizza has a thin, crispy bottom crust and a thick chewy/crispy border. The tomato sauce is rich, tomatoey, and flavorful with perfect saltiness. Both pizzas were--HTG--the best pizza I've ever eaten. There's another pizzeria in the area that's been called by one prominent food critic "the best in Pennsylvania." We've eaten there...and it's good pizza, but this is even better. We asked the pizza chef, a charming young guy named Giovanni a few questions. He took a few minutes to talk (with obvious and immense pride) about the business, his family, and its three generations in the restaurant business in the area. He's been working in the restaurant since his teens and it's clear he's got the art of pizza making mastered, despite his youth. This family business is in good hands with a person of his skill and devotion to his craft involved. We asked for a special creation. Would Giovanni make a sandwich for us from the stuffed meatballs listed on the appetizer menu? "Absolutely, I'd love to do that," he said. He set about baking a piece of flat bread in the oven for it and then created a meatball sandwich with a small amount of sauce, some mozzarella, and fresh arugula. It was superb. For dessert we had fresh-filled cannoli and split a piece of limoncello cake--a delicious, light, and citrusy confection made in house by Giovanni's mother. Superb food; well prepared; artfully presentation; very reasonable prices--all in a lovely setting. The only other thing you could ask for would be eating on the Isle of Capri overlooking the Gulf of Naples. Failing that we'll be seeing a lot of Acqua e Farina in Newtown in the future.

Like this place in Newtown. It’s a little small so on Saturday you will need wait to be seated. But pizza is really super good. My favourite is that with prosciutto. We had a lot of b-days there and it was nice ! Everyone from our family know this place and love it!

This restaurant cancels every time we try to order. They give no warning and expect to give 0 compensation for your family that is waiting on the food. We literally waited over 45 minutes after they confirmed our order just for them to cancel. This is the 3rd time this has happened in a row. The volume that they can handle is laughable. Incredibly inconsiderate, don’t waste your time!

Skip the Fettuccine bolognese.. Too oily with overly acidic & salty sauce.. Sausage & broccoli rabe pizza was good, Asked for eggplant as an extra topping but you get egg plant skins mostly. I was desperate for a cannoli afterwards to counter the salt intake but we went elsewhere for dessert.Staff and atmosphere were great.

We have been going to Acqua e Farina for years. I am from Italy and love how authentic their pizza tastes! They truly need a huge shoutout for our Valentine’s Day experience. Not only the food was great as always, but they even offered us a rose, Polaroid photos and a dessert - at no extra cost. A service that we would have probably never gotten anywhere else and that made our dinner truly special. Of course we will be back, everyone should go! Thank you guys for showing so much love to your customers!

Table for 2. Ordered a pizza and an entree. Entree came out, no pizza. Waitress said the pizza "is coming right out". Almost 15 mins later the pizza came out (entree was now cold). Inexcusable to mess up a simple order like that. Atmosphere is plain but Rustic cute. Very loud. Food was just ok.
