“Wonderful steak. I ordered the filet, medium rare, and let it sit... It was purple right in the middle, so letting it sit was a good idea for a couple minutes bc around that, it was great. I then cut through it like butter. Best steak I've had in 5 years. Fries (ordered instead of gratin) could be crisper. They were served under the steak.

A 4-pack will provide a very satisfying dessert for 4 (or more) people. The staff at Newtown is very friendly and personable; the store is immaculate, the service is quick. “The BEST place for ice cream that I visited on a visit from the UK 🇬🇧 5 full stars! Easily outclassed more famous (and over-rated) creameries in Princeton and Philadelphia. Deliciously creamy and rich - the natural ingredients were obvious. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming (the great team is pictured). A shout out to Madison who served us with such patience and care the first time we visited. Great range of flavours and we really enjoyed chalking out stories on the wall-to-wall blackboard. The outdoor seating area and patios were very charming and we loved sitting there. We will keep visiting! If you are reading this, please support this lovely local business.”

“Open table is not operational at present. Small restaurant with limited seating. Would not get the traditional margarita again due to lacking in taste and was mostly ice. Tacos were tasty. Everything is ala carte. Nacho chips were mediocre, but we enjoyed the fire roasted salsa. We had attentive service.”

“This place has quickly become one of my go-to spots for great craft beer and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The beer selection is impressive and well-curated — there’s truly something for everyone, whether you’re into lighter, easy-drinking styles or bold, complex brews. Lately, I’ve been especially hooked on their dark Czech lager. It’s smooth, rich, and incredibly drinkable, with just the right balance of maltiness without feeling heavy. Easily one of the best I’ve had in a while.

The vibe here is another big win. It’s laid-back but lively, making it a perfect place to meet friends, unwind after work, or hang out for a few hours without feeling rushed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell they genuinely care about both the beer and the customer experience.

One thing I really appreciate is the rotating food truck lineup. Instead of the same menu every time, they bring in different local vendors, which keeps things fresh and interesting. Some of the trucks are seriously good — definitely more than just “bar snacks.” It’s worth checking their Facebook page ahead of time to see who’s coming, especially if you’re planning a visit around dinner.

A fun touch is that many of the beers are named after movies, which always sparks conversation and adds some personality to the menu. Overall, it’s a great spot with quality brews, good energy, and just enough extras to make every visit feel a little different. Highly recommend checking it out.”

“I recently purchased cream filled donuts, cherry crumb, pie, and apple caramel walnut pie. Everything and I mean everything is delicious.! The cherry pie reminds me of my mom’s homemade. I thoroughly enjoyed the cream donuts. It’s my favorite donut from when I was a child. Many bakeries have closed over the years so it’s hard to find one that meets my expectations. Riehl’s Bakery has done that. Also compliments to the young man that waited on me. He was friendly, helpful and had manners. Thank you. I’ll be back.”

“The chicken tenders are phenomenally delicious. Finally somewhere local that has seasoning in the actual coating. Unlike flavorless, Raising Cane’s that tastes like boiled chicken water. My son and I have already eaten from here four times. He is obsessed with the chicken sandwich. The only problem for me is the potato salad, which is sweet - something I’ve never encountered in my life and was a little bit of a shock to me. Not sure if this company is from the south and that’s how they make it in the south. Potato salad is supposed to be savory like egg salad, but with potatoes- not sweet. I was surprised it didn’t have raisins. Lol. The pimento dip is amazing. It tastes like buffalo dip, without chicken - I eat for a few days with sliced cucumbers and carrots. It’s also good on ritz or club crackers. 4.5 of 5 stars ✨”

“I love this place! I work locally in Newtown and people often ask me where to go for lunch and I always recommend Issac Newton’s. Everything is delicious and consistent. This week I order lunch with a coworker and it was a bit pricey for a lunch at work. We ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp which was $22+each and wanted extra dressing on the side for +2.00 each. I will say that Isaac Newton’s has the best Caesar salad around but a little expensive for a work lunch. I’ll let my husband pay for that in the future. Did I mention the seasoned fries? That are amazing with the dipping sauce! I have to get them everytime. Issac Newton’s is my favorite restaurant in Newtown and will always refer people there.”

“Visiting Newtown PA and I was craving a REAL Italian hoagie after moving to VA years ago. Can't get a good one out by us. Ordered the Italian Supreme, a turkey, and a crab cake sub. Finally! A place that makes a meat log Italian sub the way I like. They even had the sweet peppers I like. The crab cake sub was also great with a nice meaty crabcake that had a slightly sweet flavor. I understand the Newtown location is new and getting established. They made a minor mistake with our order and made it right above and beyond. I wish these folks great success so I can come back again. Serious good fresh ingredients and they really know how to make a great hoagie! Love these guys!”

“Big fan of the Borsch Belt because they have gluten friendly options! Actually, they’re the only place locally where I can get the most delicious gluten free everything bagel breakfast sandwich! They are soft with the most wonderful bread texture and delicious flavor. I usually order 2-3 extra bagels for my freezer at home. Unfortunately, this last time I ordered the bagels were rock hard, solid, and bit stale. Hopefully it was a one time occurrence!!”

50% of the time my black and white mocha latte is made wrong. i hate to be that guy but I have started to ask them to remake it because it’s 6
bucks and they go and make it wrong again. It’s only when certain barista‘s are on but it is many of them. It’s been going on for a couple of months now.
I even ask them now, are there 4 shots of mocha and 4 shots of white mocha in this? They say yep! I sip it, and it’s terrible. I know it’s gonna be bad if I don’t see one of the 3 people working that make it good. I don’t know if it’s bad half or quarter pumps or if someone made the mocha sauce wrong to begin with.
Today I finally called regional to try and spark a retrain for them. I go here every single day and 1 out of 2 lattes are bad. I love this location because of the charm on state street but you guys have to fix this. Can’t keep paying up for premium coffee and getting a terrible drink.

I will update this review if it gets fixed.

UPDATE: seems like it’s been fixed. We’re 4 for 4 so far. 👍🏻 I’ll give an additional star for each righr drink from here on out.

“nice atmosphere in general. food was good for the most part although lobster tail was mushy. appetizers were delicious. more than the mishaps with food the service was extremely slow. had a 5:45 reservation. main course came about at 7:30. the staff is friendly. they were overly crowded so guessing that's why they were so slow. this is my second time here. first experience about a year ago was top notch. overall I'd dine here again just to see if that most recent visit was a fluke.”

“This is my go-to Chinese takeout. It's pricier than most, but it's better than most, too. The staff is always genuinely friendly. There's corporate friendly, and then there's actually nice people. Nice to find the latter. The food! I don't vary much: General's Chicken (no one does it better), spicy string beans, and fried rice. it was particularly good last night and for lunch today so im handin out stars :)”
