“I stumbled upon Piccolo Trattoria while searching OpenTable. This was a birthday dinner for my wife, who is Italian, so if we were going to an Italian restaurant, I wanted to be certain it was authentic. Indeed it was. The atmosphere was lively-many diners enjoying their meal, and many in groups of 4, 6 or more. The food was amazing. My wife and I shared a dish in which slices of cheese were cooked and bathed in rich "red gravy." My wife then had a seafood mixture with spaghetti and I had veal parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Piccolo offers a lengthy list of pastas to choose from. Both my wife and I were delighted with dinner. The sauce or red gravy was rich and tasty, and her seafood and my veal were just what we wanted. The food has to be better than home to be satisfying, and this dinner was. The waitstaff provided great service, even though they were busy and seemed to never stop working. Everything came out on time, and any request from a little extra cheese to a large spoon for twirling the pasta was met cheerfully and quickly. Piccolo Trattoria is tucked away in a shopping center in Newtown. I am delighted to be able to give this restaurant one of the best recommendations I have ever written, and I urge you to visit. My wife and I will definitely return. Oh, not to forget, this is BYOB so bring a fine bottle of wine without having to pay double the retail price or more.“
“Francesco's is the finest pizzeria restaurant in Newtown, PA. We had pizza and chicken tenders and a cannoli. Everything was delicious. I had the privilege of meeting the Manager of this small business. And it was a great conversation. The server was fantastic. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. Even the bathroom was clean. What else can I say, when a restaurant is this good. I have to give it 5 stars.I highly recommend Francesco's Pizzeria.Vegetarian options: Salads are available.Parking: Plenty of parking spots available even during lunch hour.Kid-friendliness: This is a family and friends kind of place, of course kids are welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is ground level. “Like this place in Newtown. It’s a little small so on Saturday you will need wait to be seated. But pizza is really super good. My favourite is that with prosciutto. We had a lot of b-days there and it was nice ! Everyone from our family know this place and love it!“
“Saturday night dinner for 4 and first time here. The place is nice. Big wide open space with lots of huge booths for big groups. Drinks were good, but they ran out of ingredientd for their old fashion. The salted beet appetizer was just ok. Salads were good size and tasty. I had the salmon, which was good, not great. The lamb chops were a little under cooked. I will probably go back, but there are so many restaurant choices in Newtown, i just dont know when.“
“Very good thin crust pizza prepared and served by a friendly staff. The large salad can feed 4-5 people. Oddly they use canned mushrooms when ordering mushrooms as a topping, but they have fresh mushrooms in their salad (yes, there is a big difference). They also serve everything on paper plates with plastic utensils. Is this environmentally friendly?“
“Overall, used to Love it! But for the last few times, we all felt that service was off, crust was just not as good as used to be. Hope they get back on track! They were absolutely wonderful and friendly place to come and relax and have a slice of pizza of two! Have wonderful memories of going there when kids were little!“
“Best New York style pizza in the county...closest to what I grew up with where the owners and workers were Italian, hardly spoke English, and made superb pizza. The owner of Newton Pizza is Greek, yet he certainly knows how to do pizza right. The baked ziti is wonderful as are meatball subs -- great meatballs without lots of filler that the other places in the area use. The owner and staff are friendly, courteous, and hard workers. The prices are fair. This is the only place I'll get pizza from. Over time I've tried most of the other establishments in the area and they all fall short on quality.“
